help post qtr window install 70rr

i have installed the qtr window in my 70rr.but it does not look just right .at the front top the glass seal is flush with the top chrome trim that screws into top of window opening but as it goes toward the rear it tapers away from the chrome.it looks like the window seal/felt at the bottomof glass is holding it away from chrome.if someone can post some pics of the outside edges aroud there b body post qtr windowtop bottom front.thanx

Those are 1/4 windows for a W21 model Dodge Super Bee or Coronet and will not fit in a R21 model Plymouth Road Runner, Satellite or Belvedere I have a decent used set of Plymouth ones here that are factory tinted PM me if interested

so chrysler went to the exspense of making the qtr post windows different on a ply B-BODY THAN A DODGE ?

That is correct the roof sail area (C-pillar) on a Dodge from the 1/4 roof seam down is different on a Dodge than a Plymouth B-Body thus the need for a different 1/4 window on the post cars and they will not interchange.

The differences are due to the wheelbase lengths between Dodge and Plymouth B-bodies.

The 1" difference between the 68-70 dodge and plymouth wheelbase is in the rear leaf spring front hanger and frame rail rear spring shackle hanger box had nothing to do with the 1/4 glass

I should clarify that the numbers I posted above are for the rubber weatherstriping, not the frames themselves.

I posted those numbers to illustrate that there is indeed a difference in the frames, hence the two different part numbers for the Dodge and Plymouth applications.

I apologize for the confusion.

Those are replacement part numbers and would only be on reproduction or for reproduction rubber weatherstripping not on or for original pieces. Yes the glass and the window frame are both different dimensions for the Plymouth and Dodge post models 68-70 B-Body which can be seen in the OP pics but is in no way from a wheelbase length difference

Go by the factory casting # at the back corner of the frame under the weatherstrip Plymouth will be 2842620 and 2842621
