HELP - RP23H61181430 ‘66 Hemi Satellite

Where is the 5-26-66 stamp located that you just posted??

I know that mine has been rebuilt as I have the dyno sheets.
If I remember, I believe that was stamped where the bell housing and trans meet? Does that make sense?

I probably, obviously, I don’t know my way around the drivetrain. It was at the farthest rear end where the pan is painted?

I’d go with MarPar’s suggestion.

My rivets.

My pad is mostly blank too so I’ve not bothered to remove the paint. It think the water test stamp (WT) is visible through the paint but that’s it. It was possibly milled when rebuilt. Nice paint coverage though.

Didn’t find a VIN on the rear near the oil pressure ports on mine either. But I think that was kind of hit or miss on 68s. Seems to be a lot of variations on stampings for these motors.

Good call. My engine paint is 50/50 age anyway so I thought worth the while to scrape just in case. Eh.

The number of differences between cars is surprising to the rookie I guess. At the plant level?
