So got the sunroof out and working correctly. The problem is with the sun shade. It wasn’t installed correctly when I took out the sunroof and I can’t figure out how it installs into the tray to roll back and forth. There doesn’t appear to be a track for it to slide in and out off. What am I missing? Video to follow, but if you can help without a video now please do.

Anyone? I’m still working on getting the video. The car is not here. It’s at the restoration shop. They sent mea video on FaceTime but I can’t share it from there.

Anyone? Can anyone at least tell me if the sunshade is fixed to the sunroof and slides back and forth with the sunroof or is it independent and can manually be slid back and forth? This is a manual sunroof

I don't think there is a "sun shade" on a Mopar sun roof.

Since the sliding part is not glass, what would a sun shade do?

Can someone tell me if it’s supposed to be sheet metal or fiberboard? The one that was shoved up there was fiberboard and not attached to the sunroof.

That looks OK.

I sold my sunroof roof a few years ago, but there was remnants of similar material on mine.

It's affixed to the outside (IIRC)) of the moving assembly, possibly with glue.

From what I can see there is a panel that attaches to the moving sunroof on the bottom. I believe it was covered in fabric and attached. Was it made of metal or fiberboard? The one in the pic is for reference, it’s not mine. I’m trying to install a new one and I have no idea what it’s made of and how it attached. I think I found a post from the A body forum that shows it clips on like a door panel. Now I need to know what it was made of so I can fabricate a new one. It seems like fiberboard would be too flimsy and not stay in place when clipped over the the thumb roller adjustment brackets. I was thinking it was originally sheet metal. There was one in the car when I bought the car. It is a piece of fiberboard wrapped in the same fabric as the headliner and not attached to anything. They just shoved it up in the hole. The sunroof didn’t work. We pulled out the sunroof and frame and rebuilt everything. Now we are trying to figure out how the panel goes in. It needs the panel to hide the bottom of the sunroof and finish off the inside roof of the car, but we have no idea how that was accomplished from the factory so we can duplicate it.

I need to get this in a readable enlarged version. Does anyone have these they could email me a pdf? My service manual does not have them.
