Hemi verses 383

It depends somewhat on the year. The 66 Hemi engine bay wiring harness is considerably different. But the differences in later years were mostly limited to the positive battery cable harness I believe - could be wrong.

Unless, you trying to do Factory look. It doesn't matter. I have installed Hemi's in 383 and 440 cars and used all the same harnesses that were in the cars from the other big blocks.

Except the 66. The factory starter relay mounting won’t clear the Hemi valve cover sufficiently and has to be relocated to the 67 and later position.

The factory Hemi harness has a plug midway on the passenger side of the engine to allow the harness to be moved out of the way to remove the valve cover.

True. However, I was just able to lay the original 383/440 harnesses up on the intake. Never an issue.

Might help if we knew why you are asking this question?
