Engine color is wrong air cleaner and decal wrong. Engine color should be close to the decal orange. Seat belts I think are gold, I'd buy them if they were gold. Still mad at myself for not buying a NOS pair for $125, dumb dumb.

How much stuff can be changed and/or wrong and still call it a "survivor"? I say very little.

assuming it's true....... the owner waxed and maintained the paint, upgraded to electronic ignition, maybe freshened up the paint on the topside of the engine, and pretty much took very good care of his baby. It's a shame he didn't let it all deteriorate

Factory enamel paint jobs had orange peel from the factory....PROVEN FACT!
Some key pictures are needed to see if it is original paint......One picture showing what appears to be an original trunk seal and the glue edge leads more towards original paint.
It is clearly single stage enamel and the orange peel looks factory correct. It also appears to me the body has not been apart.....
Date coded parts and glass will tell a lot also....
Far as the engine goes it has definitely been detailed and meddled with there are obvious things showing this.....
Carpet appears to be original but I am lost on the seat belts.....I believe the belts were replaced with a period set of the wrong color.....
Main question is where can one find another like this?
In summation the term survivor today is abused often.....A TRUE survivor is EXACTLY like the day it rolled out.....Change a hose, change a clamp, change seat belts, repaint a motor etc it is not deemed a True Survivor....
All of that aside if everything checks out it is a very original car with an original paint job that survived.....
The sellers price is due to the fact they are pushing the car as a true survivor.....it's not but is a nice car...

perhaps it did not come with seat belts? my buddy's 66 Ford truck had none
the first seat belt law was a federal law, Title 49 of the United States Code, Chapter 301, Motor Vehicle Safety Standard, which took effect on January 1, 1968, that required all vehicles (except buses) to be fitted with seat belts in all designated seating positions.[1] This law has since been modified to require three-point seat belts in outboard-seating positions, and finally three-point seat belts in all seating positions.

Jan 1, 1964 feds mandated front seat belts.
The air cleaner has been modified and as you can see the grille was repainted wrong.
Needs some detailing under the hood, but not too bad. Obviously, the engine has been out & repainted the wrong color.
The 66's just don't command the same money as 68-71 cars & his asking price is way too high. I think that 80 grand is top dollar.

That orange peel is identical to my original paint '66 Coronet. One thing I noticed is that the exhaust tips are wrong - they don't come all the way out to the bumper originally.

I agree with you. I was with my brother looking at a truck a year or so ago, in the showroom forvthe dealership was a brand new 80k Lincoln Navigator. I had plenty of time to look at it and was less than impressed with the factory paint, dirt in it, orange peel. Seen garage paint jobs that were better.
This Coronet is a sweet ride either way, I'm not sure it'll get the 6 figures though regardless of rarity
In comparison, here's a very nice one that's for sale on Moparts right now. Granted, it's not matching numbers or original paint, but for 60 grand less, I'd rather have this than the red Coronet...

Grille is right for a 440, IIRC. Rallyes are wrong. For being "all original", he's replaced quite a bit. Other things have been pointed out. I wouldn't be so picky if it hadn't made the "all original, unrestored" claims. It's very nice. Nowhere near $130K...half that, perhaps, like it is. Pictures underneath would be nice to see.
