The front wheels were moved forward, they sectioned the area behind the rear wheels, taking something like 3 to 4 inches out....WHY ? That the hell was gained by that? There is no need to "correct the proportions" of the 68-70 Charger. The lines flow perfectly as it was built.

its a lot crazier of an answer than you think. though the styling is perfect from the factory, the dimensions do not corroborate well with the euro market... this cars was built from the ground up with the intentions of living its life in Europe. which is why the rear deck has had 2 inches sectioned out and the wheelbase has been elongated by 4 inches to make it more maneuverable and handle much better. definitely flawless work to the one who desired it.

When I read that Mopar fans don't like it, I got a sense of perverse glee from the author. As though it made his life pissing off Mopar fans. Also isn't this the same issue where the cover car is an AMC javelin with what looks like a 68 Camaro front end? They also moved the front wheels forward. Both cars suck you know what. I like a classic vehicle for the lines it was designed with. Reminds me of when alot of people would chop the top on 50's era trucks. Most of the time, they looked awkward.

you can bet I- among many would have written to Hot rod about their stories filled with errors and nonsense , they knowtheir under 25 age crowd will never know the difference. I've seen articles written about my cars that were totally wrong- I wrote the magazine to print a correction -their response "this makes a better story" to me if it isn't fact it is useless.

Haha I can’t argue with absolute perscision and unbelievable skill but that doesn’t mean I like it lol not a fan of the squished charger

I always agree with good craftsmanship even if the result is not to my liking. it isn't about me- it's what the builder see's and does.

did you guys see this charger done by The Ring Brother for SEMA just look at it. stare and tell me what you see is wrong with it! (not a bs thing i stared at it for 30 minutes thinking "something doesnt look right but i cant figure it out" i had to find an article about it to determine if i was right or not

I think booze, salt and speed killed more cars than any TV show could have.

And there are some guys that spend a bunch on a car and end up wrecking them by accident

At least furyus didn't give you an X for your post like he did mine which was right above yours lol I intentionally smashed up a 67 Dart but I wasn't drunk and didn't spend a bunch of money on it. Heck, I put it together for peanuts around 74 and had a minor wreck with it in 76 (proved it wasn't my fault in court) and then bought a pretty decent 74 D100 and decided to have some fun with the Dart. Wasn't going to get any money reselling it anyways. I did buy a nice 69 Dart with a teen, AC, PS for my girlfriend for 600 bucks. They still weren't selling for a heck of a whole lot more by the time the early 80's rolled around....

The Charger isn't the only car dimensioned so it looks worse afterwards. Plenty of mis-proportioned 32 Fords and others. Don't even start on mutli-color stripes and two-tone paint. Some are SOOOO bad. Not that every custom is bad either. But lets face it. Just like fashion designers. Just because it's "in", doesn't make it look good. Some are timeless, some are out of time instantly. Who still likes pink/teal two-tone, yuck.
