Hot starting problem

well after insulating the headers and the fuel lines I also ran new short rubber fuel lines from the carb to fuel pump and fuel pump to tank steel line. This time I used 5/16" fuel injection hose since it is a thicker and stiffer sidewall. These short lines have no kinks in them whatsoever now. I've now driven the car 4 different times and no hot starting issues anymore.

So for me it came down to insulating the fuel lines from heat and ensuring no kinks in the rubber lines at the bends.
