A soft sponge and windex, the windex will break down the wax without harming the paint, follow with liquid soap and water. Always test in an inconspicuous area first.

Ammonia will not hurt paint so that would be a good one to try.
Or my wife uses ammonia mixed with water on under hood items like the air cleaner.
Another product that cuts grease and wax is Dawn.
Each season after the cars have sat all winter, I wash the entire car with Dawn and remove a coating of old wax before they get another polishing.

Use warm or hot water an dawn to remove any wax build up.........not sure what to use for a sealer though........might want to ask anyone that has the "satin" paint on their vehicle...sometime reffered to as matte finish to see what they use if anything at all.................

Mequirers is advertising on TV, a cleaner for flat black plastic bumpers and trim. Maybe that would be worth checking in to.........................MO
