For those of us who live in the frigid, salted-road, deep freeze of the north, our babies have to sit for 6-8 months!
What do you do with your classic? Cover or no cover? Up on jack stands? Do you go through muscle car withdrawal and wonder why you live where you live???
Well my Charger rests in a non-insulated garage, draped in a perforated car cover (I think it was a cheap-o from carcover dot com). In the fall I clean her up nice, take the battery out, put the cover on, and then complain about the weather until spring!
Here she is right now:

I drive mine as late in fall as possible.
Fill with gas and drive it for 20 minutes minimum.
When I park it for winter I put a plastic sheet over the carb and plug the exhaust with rolled up rags.
Disconnect the battery.
Yes I keep mine covered but it does make a better environment for mice.
I've been using the green mouse killer blocks and I put fresh cab repellant in the car and under the hood.

Not an issue here. 60 here today, 18 last week, 30 next week. There are always time in winter to take it out a few times. Winter here is 3 months. Dec Jan Feb.

So is it in a garage or outdoors?
I’m fortunate, even though it’s cold as **** in my garage it is dry and mouse free.
Forgot to mention, I dump a can of seafoam in it, drive it to the gas station for one last fill and then drive home to park it for the winter.

Mine are indoors but not heated.

I lived in Alaska, I lived in Chicago.... I'm not a fan... There's plenty I don't like about California, the weather isn't one of those things...

Mine are uncovered and in a un-heated, but insulated building. There is not a month in the year, that one can't be gotten out three or 4 times. The 100 degree plus days of summer are the least desirable times for me.

Yep. I drive mine more during this time of year than the summer. Too hot in August.
August the evenings can be nice, mid-day not so much.. A/C is your friend here in the valley.... Thirty years ago we didn't want that big compressor hiding our engine.. These days I rarely pop the hood to show anyone, they see me rolling along at 40 mph...

Perfect timing for this thread.
Mine went into my storage building in Nov. Unhook the neg cable , make sure the vents are shut, put the cover on.
Today I pulled the cover and fired it up for awhile, backed it outside and let it run up to temp. Pulled it back in and put her to bed till spring.

Sorry but that sucks...

Hey I know, made 40 degrees today though. To much salt on the roads for a drive.
Building is 50' so there is the short cruise.
I'm surprised they salt the roads in Iowa...Thought that was an east of the Mississippi thing... I know they did it in Chicago, three year old cars with quarter panels flopping in the wind.... Cars that I would never take out in that crap but to most people they were just cars...
