If you don't street drive your car,,,,,,,,,,,,don't post here. There plenty of fast street cars and I would like see what we have here!
My street car goes mid nines at almost 144 mph and I put over 2000 miles on it a year.

What chu got and don't forget pictures.If you don't have a car,don't bother to post either.If your an alias,,,,,don't post either.

I went to Attco last Sunday and I'm getting close on the tune!!

Well I'm building mine still after the drive line was done and put back in car it dinoed at 485 to the rear wheels I'm changing the intake and carb (bigger) then opening the headers up and bigger pipe and better mufflers then also go to a msd set up (a better setup) and a few other things (mostly stuff to keep it cool) but hopefully after I'm done tweaking it I'll get at least the 500hp or slightly more hopefully.
Also switching the trans to a 4 speed and the rear gear set .From a sure grip 3.55 to a sure grip 3.91
Then of course you need to stop so I ordered a 4 wheel disc brake conversion kit from wilwood .here's a few of what I started with its going into paint soon (orange) IMAG0547_BURST002.jpg

I used to drive a 900hp 572ci chevelle on the street, I had cars with more hp, but that car started as a drag car, that I swapped to a bit less aggressive mt street, changed the glide to a 400, changed the rear end ratio to 4.11. Bought it with no motor and drag interior, I changed the full cage to be a bit more street friendly, I built the 572, etc. SO I added some weight, but before Id started changing stuff after the motor was in the car ran mid 9.60's with me behind the wheel, would have done much better with someone that can drive well... I would say it was a solid 10 second car after I made the changes to make it more street friendly. I think the tranny was the biggest downfall of my setup...

Shes long gone now, but back them I put a couple thousand miles a year on it, now I have a few 11 second cars, but mostly build them a bit hotter than stock now which as you know gets you around 13 seconds, lol..

Mine 11.02@123. You always hope your kids do better than you, he did [email protected]. Both in licensed and in street trim.

So far the best I have done was 12.5 @ 125 MPH at Bandimere with street tires spinning out of the hole. I switched to fuel injection in July and its been a disaster ever since.Once I get the injection all sorted out I am going to do either slicks or drag radials as soon as Bandimere or pueblo motorsports has a test and tune.

Well mine isn't that fast, 11.09 @121. Lots of room for improvement.

This car stays cool, 195* in 95* weather. It's really a street car, although I am turning it into more of a drag car.

I need that hood scoop for my taller single plane and dominator that is coming....tell me if you just put the scoop on and existing hood or bought it together ... from who and how much ?

64 Dodge, 3750 lbs, 10.53 sec at 128 mph.......Plated, licences and insured....goes to shows, Moparfest, some cruises.............brutal on fuel....64 Dodge July 20, 2014.jpg LOL

No clue of what my current 68 RR with a 479ci/383 6bbl will do,
{same combo basically, less cam, less converter, milder ported heads, less gear etc.
than car example below, that ran in the hi-9's}
BUT; it's more set up for handling, driving here on country roads etc.
it's not really good @ weight transfer for drag racing, no drag radials or slick "YET"
but I could disconnect the sway bars & loosen the shocks up,
put some slicks/drag radials on it, "that's if I ever finish it",
hell I have thousands of $$$ in parts to install still...LOL

{procrastination at it's best, I'm thinking it won't ever be done}

I'd guess if I could get it to hook, radials etc. & have decent air, decent track,
low DA, a little @ track tuning
It may run in the low 11's with all things good, somewhat respectable
for something not built for drag racing...

BUT;
My last Silver 68 RR 3520# with a 479ci 383/4.15" 0.040" over,
Alum head, roller valve train, 4200 stall, MVB 727tf, CalTracs, 4:10's etc. etc. etc.
A true driven street/strip car went N/A 9.77 @ 135 Sac. Raceway
on drag radials, drove it to the track albeit only like 12 miles each way,
I ran it with full 3" Flowmasters exhaust out the back,
I drove it about 20K+ miles over about 8 years,
allot of cruising, harassing the youth, in Sac. & Contra Costa Co.
with a few blasts out in the rural areas, if you get my drift...

But with a 300 shot of Top Gun N20 plate kit, Dominator same otherwise,
it ran a best of 8.58 @ 156 at a test & tune day mid July
no track prep, kind of greasy Sac raceway 100* heat, DA was about 3500ft
Car only had a roll-bar they would stop me after a couple of runs,
that were quicker than 11.50's, they'd let a couple passes slide & then stop me...
I would do allot of test & tune session 660 & 1000ft, so I wouldn't get hassled as bad...

I've stepped back from the track allot,
way too many other things happening lately,
life gets in the way, kids, business, elderly relative needs,
funds get allocated to other projects & time constraints,
seem to always get in the way now...

I live vicariously thru allot of the guys on here,
I think...LOL
I think I still know my stuff, I just don't practice what I preach as much now...
I drag raced for over 35 years, before I stepped away, mainly because of costs &
now I kind-of got drawn back in...LOL

I'm not impatient, like I was when I was much younger...

I've had much faster cars, than either describe here too, but nowhere near as fun...

I've had some very fast Brand X street/strip cars too, but won't go into that here...

carry on

383 man That is quite impressive. If you can drive it that long to the track and go that fast I'm really impressed. It does look very great. Congrats.
