How fast is your tagged and street driven car??

Motors still sitting on the stand but should hopefully have it in and driving over the winter. I'm hoping for low 10's once its all complete but I'll be happy to just break 10's.

The green Mustang was my dads old daily driver ran mid 11's and still averaged 16 mpg iirc

Sorry I won't give out any times yet, not being an a##hole it's just I got 3 grudge races lined up in the spring. Then win or loose the cat will be out of the bag, that damn cat and his bag. I wonder why the cat is in the bag or how did he get in? I guess I can say its slower the a 8.40 and faster then a 12.00 LOL!

This went 10.80's with a pumpgas/hemi, hydraulic cam, full exhaust, 4.10, and 4000lbs+.

Never got this to the track, since the installation of the pump-gas hemi. But it's a 496 that made 851/696 on the dyno. Good torqueflite, 9" converter, full exhaust to bumper/and straight cut-outs, and 5.13's with a 33" tire. It weighs about 3200/wet....so it should run okay. It's run about a hundred street miles in the last couple years.

Here are a few pics of the "new" Coronet Al.
Been 9.75 and 136.11 so far. Toned it down as I run NETO 10.0 and Nostalgia eliminator. Doubled up and won both a few weeks ago at Island at the last race of the season. Look for it next season at tracks in the Northeast.

A street car Doesn't have a cage and slicks.

It's all good I figured there was a reason you didn't spill it. Good luck.

Here's my street car. At least they say it's a street car on street outlaws.

10.30@131. Pump gas iron headed hemi. Thinking about stepping it up but its pretty fun and reliable at the moment. I don't think about twice hopping in it and going on a 100 mile cruise

Thats what I like about my street car. Its nice to just go put the key in the ign and drive 100 miles with no problems and get gas at any station. I also like to race just how I drive it on the street so that way when I say it ran 10.70's thats just how I drive it capped up and all. Ron

Ange,I thought you still had "correct Connection" Didn't know you made a move,I'm surprised as that car was sweet!! You had it moving. As far as my junk, getting cant wait to feel 15 lbs of boost!

A street car Doesn't have a cage and slicks.

That's why I got riding the Belvedere- AS it was a street car with a cage and slicks, wipers, lights, stock tank with a SUMP.
Now I have the Coronet. Cage, slicks, race seats, fuel cell, etc AND NO DESIRE to drive it to a cruise...

I want to finish dialing the car on pump gas before I TURN UP THE WICK. Still a little lean and I'm 99 square. Need to find out if I need just a bleed change or tweek another port on my one barrel carbs

Ran best of 11:65 @ 117 this year. That was at a whopping 4400.
After the winter diet and a few upgrades I am hoping I'll be in the 11.00 range, maybe even the odd 10.90. We'll see.

My carb guy got back to me,,,,,,,,,,air bleed change should put it in the 9.4's on pump gas.Guess I woke the beast and soon,,,,,I'll TURN UP THE WICK.

My Cuda does 11.80s in street trim and through the exhaust. Hopefully the 65 Belvedere will be quicker.

Hey Mike, good talking to you at the Hot Rod Reunion a couple weeks ago. Your car is looking good.

Yea, It was great actually meeting a fellow B-Body guy in person at a drag race. So glad you stopped by to see my car and shoot the breeze.
Mike
