If you love every minute of it, it's not a waste of money!

_MG_0962k.jpg67 Belvedere Wagon. Tagged and insured in Ohio. Have had it on a few short trips. Car is still a project in the making. Currently has drivers and back seat only. I have to get one more front seat, headliner and carpet. This will be after the roll bar is installed this winter.
Will also be switching to E85 this winter. Mixing 93 premium and Sunoco 110 is expensive.
Best so far is 6.994 @ 98.5 in th 1/8th thru the exhaust. This was on its 2nd outing. Had fuel pump issues and was running out of fuel before the stripe.

10.70's so far through the full exh on pump gas and driven to the track thats 45 miles from home. Ron

Ron's Plymouth is my benchmark...I need to go low 10.80's or high 10.70's just to catch up to Ron's ET's
I am beginning to think that WITHOUT Max Wedge Ports on heads and Intake that 10.90's may be my best.
I do have a good friend (Dennis Riley, who built my motor) is going to loan me his "spare" M1 with Dominator Flange and his 1050 Dominator to replace my INDY Dual Plane and my 850 Mighty Demon. This could get me into the 10.80's.
More on that later....right now I am stuck at 10.985 and 120.6MPH until I get some more track time which may not be until this coming February at the March Meet Test & Tune Weekend prior to the actual March Meet at Famoso.

My 71 Barracuda Street car (Australia) https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=cb9FbDUWBLQ

Only managed a few passes with a 10.60 @130 best but bad wheel spin, check the timesheets, the 11.50 pass is .4 quicker to the 660' than the 10.60 so I know there is a low ten in it.

Sorry it's an E Body, the engine came from my B if that helps :)

I made it up to Lebonon Valley a few weeks ago.Unloaded the car and made the pass on pump junk.

383 man That is quite impressive. If you can drive it that long to the track and go that fast I'm really impressed. It does look very great. Congrats.

Thank you for the kind words. Ron

Thank you for the kind words Mike. I will be very interested in the results of the M1 and Dominator on your car also. Good luck with it and let us know how it goes. Ron

Heck yea with that mph it has easy low 10's in it if it hooks. Look at the crapy 60 ft on the 10.60 pass. Ron

Will Subscribe to this one ! Thanks

My Cuda does 11.80s in street trim and through the exhaust. Hopefully the 65 Belvedere will be quicker.

Hey Mike, good talking to you at the Hot Rod Reunion a couple weeks ago. Your car is looking good.

BUT;
My last Silver 68 RR 3520# with a 479ci 383/4.15" 0.040" over,
Alum head, roller valve train, 4200 stall, MVB 727tf, CalTracs, 4:10's etc. etc. etc.
A true driven street/strip car went N/A 9.77 @ 135 Sac. Raceway
on drag radials, drove it to the track albeit only like 12 miles each way,
I ran it with full 3" Flowmasters exhaust out the back,
I drove it about 20K+ miles over about 8 years,
allot of cruising, harassing the youth, in Sac. & Contra Costa Co.
with a few blasts out in the rural areas, if you get my drift...

But with a 300 shot of Top Gun N20 plate kit, Dominator same otherwise,
it ran a best of 8.58 @ 156 at a test & tune day mid July
no track prep, kind of greasy Sac raceway 100* heat, DA was about 3500ft
Car only had a roll-bar they would stop me after a couple of runs,
that were quicker than 11.50's, they'd let a couple passes slide & then stop me...
I would do allot of test & tune session 660 & 1000ft, so I wouldn't get hassled as bad...

Impressive! I've often wondered about the potential of a 383 stroker

Forgot to post the slip:icon_kidra:

This was Lebonon with a stiff headwind on pump gas the way I terrorize the local streets.:toothy10:

Motors still sitting on the stand but should hopefully have it in and driving over the winter. I'm hoping for low 10's once its all complete but I'll be happy to just break 10's.

After reviewing the time slip it appears that the bottom end could used some assistance. Kind of a soft 60 ft in my mind. Did you let off at the big end? 131 mph seems like it could've been better even in a headwind as I remember you going closer to 140 mph in a previous thread.

Have you considered testing with pump gas or a pulley change to see its real potential or will that ruin the streetability?

While I no longer have my Belvedere it was always tagged and insured in CT. Best it ran was a 9.88@ 135.49 with a 1.37 60 ft.- however it was on race gas as no supercharger so compression was a bit higher than yours.

You sold the Belvedere??????? Ange, your not the 1st to say that about the MPH.I musta let off at the stripe. Not sure how far after the stripe the MPH sensor is.
Last Sunday at Attco, I ran the car the same as LVR and made sure I stayed in it for the real MPH. This is with pump gas at 34* of timing.:eusa_whistle:

That quite a bit better than LVD, but Atco always is.
60 ft still a little sluggish. Do you have pulleys and race gas to step it up or are you satisfied with what you got?

Yes the Belvedere is now a 67 Coronet. I'm surprised you didn't know.
