How fast is your tagged and street driven car??

I try not to hang around those kind. I take a look at things and try to figure out a different/better way of doing it that isn't copying someone else. Usually when I toss out an idea, someone will laugh and tell me how crazy I am but then when they see it in action, they'll just say "that ain't gonna work for long" type of crap instead of just accepting the fact that there's always more than one way to do something. Yeah, some things have to done a certain way but not everything is that way....

Yep

"Build it how you want it,
Drive it like you stole it,
Use what ever parts you deem necessary,
Who cares what others think"

10.50 @128.35 Probably got 10.20's in it if I ever get the fuel curve sorted out. Have a smaller blower pulley that would put it close to 10.00. MobyDick.jpg

I know that this is a B body site but this was a Dodge of sorts . I built this Dodge Colt about 30 years ago , would drive to work at IBM in RTP , about a 40 mile trip one way , The strange looks you would get down I-40 were priceless . It was a 1972 Colt with a 440 030 over with 8.1 pistons , 509 cam , ported steel heads , with 6/71 supercharger with 2 750 double pumpers by BDS . dana 60 with 4:10 gears , ladder bars and a 727 trans. Ran 10.50 and 130 mph . Scan0003.jpgcolt.jpg

Hey funnykarman.....did it go straight or was it a handful at the track?

Looks like it would be fun, but a handful if it got a little loose...

That Blown Colt is cool ride for sure

Colt

Believe it or not it went straight from a dead stop , but put it in third gear at about 35 mph and nail it , it would break loose 30 inches worth of M/T"s and go sideways . It way a fun car , I sold it to a friend in SC years later it went to Ohio and is now in the Crawford Auto Museum .colt3.jpg

Not only wouldn't you expect 9.60's, no noise to boot, very quiet. This pic is not photo shopped. 275 radials, 3.55, 3775 lbs

It's coming with the new improved 8 second street package next year. 6.1 with twins.

Hello Mike! Coil overs in the rear with Alston ladder bars, Dana 60, Moser with 456 spool, 31X14.50, 727, 5500 converter, New motor is strictly pump gas the old motor was killing the pocket book with race fuel at $9 a gallon. Received new motor last week after dyno session. It's a 500" 440, 10:1 Ross diamond Pistons, scat crank, fully ported Indy SR heads flowed 370, full roller solid with T&D rockers, TTI 2 1/8 headers, Indy intake, 1050 dominator, Made 670hp and 610 TQ on pump gas!

Plum...thanks for the info on your build...
Your complete build (chassis and motor) is everyone's dream list....GOOD JOB...I WOULD LOVE TO HAVE YOUR HEADS, YOUR CAM, YOUR TTI 2 1/8 HEADERS, YOUR INDY INTAKE AND YOUR DOMINATOR....
One would think that it should run low 10's....your only limitation would be the cam ( if less than .700 lift ) and the 10-1 compression ratio.
Keep us posted on your first outing at the drags.

PS: I would think that you would have a really top of the line fuel pump with that setup.

Thanks Mike for the compliment. Not sure it's a dream build but it's what I can afford! And as far as the fuel pump it's got an aeromotive A1000. It has a certified 8.50 cage. Got the new motor in this weekend and am very happy with the single cruise I took before it got dark. New Dominator needs some tuning, anyone in the Riverside Ca area that is good with Dominator tuning please let me know!!

Someday !!!!!!!
