I've used a wrench on top, wedged to stop on what ever it hits.
Might have to go real slow and put it on a few times.
Sucks getting up and back down under repeatedly.
Can you use a distributor wrench?
I believe I'll be using the "Dad's Bee" method next time I put any back on.
