Any way to figure out if the motor/carb and tranny is original for the year and vin

Yes, there are ways of documenting, especially with Chrysler products.
1. What is Car model
2. Year

There is no way to positively say yes, but you can narrow it down and make an educated assumption. The fender tag, broadcast sheet, etc will indicate original engine, trans, and much more.If your car has the engine, trans etc. that is called for, then you need to check, model years and build dates on all the parts, to see if they precede the cars build date, by a reasonable amount. There is lots of help on this site, but we need to see pictures of the VIN, fender tag, body numbers, engine, carb and transmission numbers .

What you’ve shown all adds up. Transmission is a ‘67 318 B/C body number, block was cast about the right time, -741 axle is appropriate. The small block B-bodies if they still have small blocks are generally more likely to be original, less abuse, less focus on modifying them for power.

thank you

If you want to play detective a little more, then you should check your body numbers, which will be on the rad support on the drivers side, and also on the rear crossmember that the bumper attaches to. They should match the last two sets of digits on the lower right of the fender tag. In your case it should be 77 917 02187, if I am reading it right. If they match then the tag is original to the car. The engine should have C 318 and an assembly date stamped on the block just below the cyl. head on the drivers side. The date should be a little before the scheduled production date of 9-17-66. Keep in mind that the SPD is not always the actual production date. The transmission has the correct part number for a 67 318, but there is no assembly date on it, as there is on 1968 up transmissions. The casting date is all you can go by. That should get you started. If you have more questions, please don't hesitate to ask.

any idea what the hand stamped info on my fender tag means

Tried to find the rear bumper brace it was covered in undercoating

Those stamped numbers and the punched hole are probably inspector's stamps. On the second line the 2 means 2.93-1 open diff. P6W is white and black interior with bucket seats. AA1 is silver paint. I'm guessing the next three digits are B8B which stands for black upper door paint, 8 is buffed paint B is black horizontal accent stripe.Fourth line, first 1 is 26" radiator, second 1 is am radio, third 1 is air conditioning, fourth 1 is tinted glass, all windows. Sixth line, first 5 is front buddy seat that folds down into an arm rest.Second 5 is rear armrests. 0 is belt line moulding, 7 is fender mounted turn signals.
