When you create a post or respond to one and see a word underlined in red it may be misspelled. Just right click that word and a list of alternatives pops up. Click the correct word and you're a perfect speller (most of the time).

Like Dad always said, "That boy is a fart smeller."

Yah: mE 2

However it will not help if you spell the wrong word or word form correctly and may suggest incorrect words or autocorrect what it thinks are spelling errors.

Advice is what you ask for, Advise is what you do when someone asks for Advice.

I wish Craigslist had that feature. Piss-poor spelling is one thing, but I can't have patience with someone who misspells the name of the vehicle they're selling....over and over again. Don't they know its written right there on the car!

I used to have a customer years ago , that would order parts for his fleet of Ford "Ecoline" Vans....?????????

who gives a ****... in the big reality of things ... sp[elling? reallie?

I wonder if it's basing the default language as spanish for your, or portuguese or whatever they speak in that country. I couldn't find a 'language' setting though so don't know but it's gotta be something like that ... could be basing it off of your ISP maybe ??

i believe it is just the default setting here. so take heed of my posts, as there may be some misspellings

I try my best to spell everything correctly but nearly 20 years out of school and reading mostly blue prints, diagrams or other drawings doesn't do much to keep me fresh, sorry. I do correct most of what spell check underlines but sometimes no matter how I spell it it underlines it anyway, like ain't "see it says it's spelled wrong again".

I don't give a **** if people can't spell, just attempting to help those that care LOL

I'm not judging anyone. Although, reading some of the replies some of you think I am.

I just stumbled onto the spell check while typing a reply this morning and thought I would share. It may make a difference if you are searching and can't find the topic because of a spelling error, either by the original poster or the one doing the search.

I am thankful for the folks who added it to the forum.

Thanks FBBO.

In the big reality of things? Do you mean like, famine, war, dictatorships and tyrants? In relation to those kind of "big picture" subjects, spelling and grammer don't mean much at all. People who are dying or starving or being gassed by thier government could hardly give a **** whether you know how to spell "carburetor" or "transmission".
In the context of a forum, like this one, where you're trying to convey a point through the written word, its kinda fuggin' important if you want the people reading what you're writing to have some clue as to what the f**k it is you're trying to say.
Nope, this isn't life or death. Most things aren't.

I've read some of your posts, 99ss, and you seem to be a very good speller. And your penmanship is impeccable.
