how wide of tire on 69 b body

ok got a 69 gtx just wondering what is the widest tires I can fit on a stock 69 rear wheel well. Been out of the b bodies for a bit. I was gonna by a set of quick time Hoosiers 27 11.5 ..15 inch..that's like a 275 60 15. I have 255 60 15 on it now and plenty of room. What is best backspace to have

I have an 8" rim with a 4.5"bs and a MT 255 wide tire, I have an add a leaf in mine and plenty of room for a 275 tire.

What I really wanted to say is that is one of the most bad *** cars and color combo's on this forum! Damn... show us some more pics.

I got a set of hoosier quick time pro slicks from a buddy with 275 50 15 and they fir great with 4.5 backspace..my springs are weak and original..need new ones

15x10 with 4.5 backspace and a 295/50/15. The inner fender lip is rolled with plenty of clearance.

5.5" on the back space no need to roll inner fender lip. The 69' bee and a friends 69' sport satellite run 295/50/15 on 10" wheel with no mods or clearance issues.

Should have mentioned it is in my 69 roadrunner. Yea with my 4.5 back on my rims is pushed it closer to the inner fender.
