I posted this earlier today in my build thread. I figured not everyone would see it and felt like it was significant enough that people would want to find it. Here is a picture of the hydroboost setup on my car. We had to make the bracket from scratch to fit a b body. I kept the template so I can make more. As you can see it fits with tons of room. It is easy to get the valve cover on and off, even on my big block. I will update this thread with pictures as we route the hydraulic lines and finish off the brake system. If there is any interest, I could build hydroboost kits for B bodies.

I just got my 64 Fury running and driving this week.It has a 440 and alot of goodies including Baer discs on all four corners. It does stop but luckily it takeas two feet on the pedal if you want to stop quick.I don't want to wear out my knee replacements so I am definitely interested in the hydro boost idea.My Fury has driven me to the poorhouse so how much is it going to cost more or less? Thanks-Joel

The hydroboost itself is about $540. You can buy a aluminum corvette master cylinder for $80. The lines will run you about $200. $540 includes the B body specific bracket.

For the early b???

I bolted one on last winter but I did have to return the unit that came in the brake kit from RMS. It had an adapter plate that was not for my 1965 Belvedere. Bill had no issues making it right.

lxmodguy wondering if your car is going down the road yet , and if so how do ya like them brakes ! ! i am contemplating on a hydroboost and looking for for feedback ! ! Thanks..

What makes the pressure the power steering or is it an electric pump ? The ones on the Dodge diesel trucks that I remember ran off the power steering system to get the hydro boost power assist. Ron

Looks good! How does the pedal feel compare to power brakes with a regular vacuum booster? Is it snappy or pretty linear in pedal pressure vs stopping power?

I will let you guys know shortly. Its up and running. There is a video in another thread. I am chasing leaks and trying to make it all good before going for a drive.

Its been at the shop and I haven't been spending much time there lately. I still have to bleed the brakes and figure out something for the front wheels.

SO I have driven mine a few times now. This thing FRICKEN STOPS. It is crazy how hard it stops. I have some tweaking to do, but it stops nearly as good as my 2012 Chrysler 300 Mopar Edition

**** it stops that good ?! thats absolutly awsome ! ! did you have to change or upgrade the power steering pump ? i order my setup without all the fancy lines or proportioning valve or other stuff so just the first pic that i posted, $825.00 shipped get it next week !

Army's pickup, blazers in the 80's, and Humvee's all come equiped with Hydrobooster.
Good to go till you loose a power steering belt, or the engine dies.
