Hyrdgoon's - project angrybird

Oooooooooo, I've got a chubby looking at that!

Can't tell if that's a GTX or Sport Satellite....either way looks good.

What's the link for that page?

It's a very nice car.....but can't hold a candle to 522 blown Angrybird, just saying.

By the time mine is done I'm hoping you're right. (and I think you will be;)

I had 2 final "big ticket" items on my list after all the other snowballing with the front end that would get me closer to my "dream build" sooner than later. First was the rear suspension and thanks to some deal making with 747 that should become a reality sooner than later and last is finding a way to squeeze the rear brakes into the budget... hoping I can get that figured out today

yeah goon i did a some reading on here an another site about the 3 link and 4 link. i think I'm gonna ride it out with the rms street lynx. talked to few guys that have both rms front an rear, and they say its like a slot car on the street and autocross. I'm not looking to beat any records just to handle real nice. thanks to you an 747 to bringing the 3 link option to my attention.

Those GTX/SS grilles are pricey and a little hard to find. I found a nice one that I'm repainting and going to repaint the one I had to sell as a driver to help pay for the nice one. I actually like the 68 GTX/SS grilles better. Good luck with the brakes, you'll need full flaps to get the Bird whoa'd.

I like the 68's as well. Make sure you let me know when you're willing to sell the one you had it's a possibility I'll be interested. I'd like a spare to try as a different look. And truth be told my car is actually a 68! somewhere in it's life the previous owner decided he liked the looks of 69's better!

Agreed on the brakes. Already got the big kit ordered for the front, Trying to make sure the backs get squeezed in on this deal too. Would like to just pay once for shipping!

Will do if you want I'll send you some pics right now as is.

Thanks 69GTX!

Here's a few pics of where the car is at today

Great progress! You going to black out the intercooler????

Now would be a good time to install the lower radiator support brace if your inclined. I used the US Car tool one.

Pretty sure we're going to make our own brace for the lower rad support and I agree now is the time.

The guy doing my work is a HUGE believer in blacking out. He had previously blacked out my wizard rad and even did the exhaust to all you see is the lines of the car. I'm 99% sure the intercooler will get blacked out as well even though it does look mighty fine in raw aluminum

Your putting in an intercooler for your power booster while I'm putting in an interior cooler for less power...... man I've got my priorities screwed up big time!

I put in a cooler for the interior & two extra carbs so I get both ;0)

A few more pics of what was done with the chassis mods. The rear frame rails were extended straight into the rocker panels as the torsion bar cross member was deleted. Wanted to take this approach to give it a look like it would have been from factory if there was no T bar cross member.

The new trans cross member will be tubular so it looks like it belongs with the Magnum Force K frame.

In regards to stiffening around the rad support the plan is to add a round tube stiffener to also match the K frame from firewall top to the front of the frame rail to triangulate the whole front chassis (more strength in triangulation then just adding to the side)

Oh and one more update. In a moment of profound weakness yesterday I ordered new mufflers. I love my Ultraflos but at Dyno day last year I heard 2 people talking and saying "I thought it would be louder"

That gave me a complex :(

I've never heard the one's I ordered on a BB Mopar so just looking forward to something different and hoping they are louder than the UF's

Haha, I'm going threw the same thing. I've got about the smallest straight threw mufflers you can get without getting ridiculous and it's still pretty quite.

Nice! I like the tie in. Are you going to tie the two together?
