Hyrdgoon's - project angrybird

Hmmmm.......Being they have such a small draw I would imagine it wouldn't take a whole lot of voltage difference to make a difference in brightness. Let us know what you come up with.

My thoughts exactly. A slight difference would have an impact. I'll let you guys know when I get it sorted.

Absorbing as much information as I can about the conversion to Procharged and I am now dead set on going with C&S and their setup. Check out a few videos on their Facebook page of how the Aerosol carbs work... TOO COOL!! https://www.facebook.com/pages/CS-Specialties-Fuel-Systems/195034040544270?fref=ts

For the next little while it will be working OT when I can and saving pennies because I've still got quite a shopping list before the conversion to Procharged can take place. Absolutely not in a rush though and in the meantime I may try to sneak that T56 in before August in case AngryBird needs to go for a long drive to the Nats!

I shared these in a different section but here's the pics of the custom Tiger Maple Pistol Grips that Nick at Idle Hands Woodwork made for me. I highly recommend Nick to deal with.

dang goon. I guess I would have to ask, How does it feel in your hand? it sure is pretty.

It's not actually in my hand yet :( Shipped yesterday and I should have it next week. Those pics are some that Nick took for his website.

Did I hear you say Nats????????????????? That would be cool to cruise down together seeing how you'd likely go right past me on the way. The handles came out awesome Goon, have to make sure the new T56 lever accepts them for sure.

Looks like the Nats and Moparfest are back to back weekends. I'm definitely considering it I just won't likely know if I can make it happen till much closer to August.

I'm working on a deal now for a Hurst pistol grip shifter from another member. This way I could install the grips now and have something to use as a template when a custom shifter gets made later on.

I would like a set but I have the Hurst pistol grip with the button on top for my roll control.Maybe I can retro fit it.

Are the stock grips themselves actually different for your shifter from the plane-Jane pistol grip?

Maybe Nick has already done a set like that if not? It's worth asking!

Button for roll control = super cool!!

Voltage was fine so started playing with the bulbs and both issues with the front and the back had to do with the bulbs making contact in the sockets. One of the front parking lights wouldn't actually fit the socket properly and broke. So I'm happy with the brake lights now but have ordered different bulbs made by "Keep-it-clean" for the parking lights.

In short the Putco's are very bright but I'm not paying $60 for another pair after I just broke one.

Lookin great!! That's a nice car!

Thank you sir!

I posted these in the new Pro-Touring section because that's where I know I'll be spending a lot of time but figure I should put them in this thread too. I got a dashcam fro Christmas but hadn't used it till yesterday. Partly because I had a nasty header leak and wanted that sorted out which I did on the weekend. Passenger side was a bit more of a Bit#h to get to! Word of advice don't use the gaskets that come with your headers spring for a set of RemFlex or Percy's. I also used the Mr. Gasket header bolt lock washers this time around.

Anyways I'm not incredibly happy with the vids as I think I have cam settings to play with for the display (should display speed) Quality and sound are pretty good though for a cheap dashcam. here's the first try!

Right ON a good cure for spring fever!!!!!!!!!!!!! BUT hate to see you get free room and board for your RR for 7 days
I liked it..,,,,,,,,,,,, time to go work on mine some more
Thanks

Love that sound!!!!!!! Motor sounds great Goon and I bet you made an impression on the traffic haha. You have so gotta come down for the cruise after the Nats, we would have a blast! But then again I'm planning on coming up there for Moparfest but I might behave (don't know what the punishment for a foreigner is)?

Videos and car look great! Man, I was excited about my pistol grip before, but as good as your new grips look these may have to be a gift idea for the future. For now, the budget is blown so the plastic has to stay...

I will need to get a dash cam at some point for my trip, at some point I may start a thread for recommendations. The dash cams seem like fun!

I've already watched those videos a couple times over in the protouring threads haha sounds killer!!

But man, saving pennies and working overtime for the procharger setup? You're starting to sound like me now! Lol! Gotta work for that boost!!
:eek:ccasion14:

Thanks guys!

Realized that for the video to display speed I had to order a GPS antenna for the cam ($45 CAD) so that brings total spent up to about $185 CAD I believe and I'm pretty happy with that as a fraction of the cost of a GoPro. For anyone cam shopping the best approach is find the one's you're interested in then YouTube videos with the model to see what people have posted in real world application, Especially at night!

Gotta work Sunday this weekend but hope to get the car out again tomorrow... Weather has been absolute **** here this week! Believe it or not we had 2 days of snow!! Not enough to last the day but woke to 2" on the ground yesterday morning!

looks like I made a deal with Ductman for one of the pistol grip shifters he purchased and wasn't able to use. This way I can start using my purdy new handles right away and have a proper template when it comes time to mill my new shifter with the T56 install.

Dev. I'm pretty sure whether I make it there or you make it here the 2 of us out in our cars together will not be tame!! hahaha

Nice thread Goon ! And of corse the star of the show, the Angry Bird Fer Racin ,,, sweet ride ! Congrats on your achievements
