I found a Hemi SS/AH car I want

My guess was Buckey's car too. AH is a bad *** deal but very competitive. If you have not done the whole NHRA class legal thing before it might be alot to bite off at once. Why not a B body hemi car and run in SS/ BA. Might be able to just put a legal motor in one of your cars and make the car legal too and see how you like the NHRA circus... it is fun but also filled with bullshit often... If you like it then get the AH car. NHRA is very different than NSS.

Investing 100-250 thousand dollars in one of those cars and racing for an engine block and a trophy doesn't sound like a good idea to most of us. But having a name like "SUPERSTOCKRACER" gives us this allusion that you are truly a S/S racer and not a Nostalgia Super Stock racer or a bracket racer. I say buy the car of your dreams and go for it to fulfill them.

I don't remember, I thought it said turn key, not positive thou,
seen one in WV for $55k not sure the total deal either, whether it was turn key or not,
most that I've seen & if they are real are over $100k turnkey min.,
clones are available way cheaper turnkey, seen a few recently

250K is what we penciled in to build the car and campaign it for one year. These guys change converters and rear gears more than the best bracket racer swaps carb jets. The spares a competitive team carries is insane. Buying one and running it for a year will still suck up over half that number.

I think your level of happiness will really depend on how close to competative you want to be? I know you already run a few hemis, so you know the costs of those. But the tricks engineered into the legal 438cid motors take that cost to a whole new level!

You couldn't run with a better bunch of racers and you might be famous one day.
