I'm definitely not disappointed the mere fact that you were catching a porsche in the corners is priceless, arent porches's known for handling ?

You would think, right? I have had this issue with several Porsche drivers over the past couple years, only one of them came up to me in the pits and wanted to shake my hand and tell me how cool it was to see me out there. He was faster, but said he followed me for a couple of laps because he wanted to watch what lines I took, and felt I took the best line around the track. He's a vintage racer, so he had much more experience than I do.

It's great when people are cool like that and don't let their egos get in the way. I get passed by Miatas all the time, and Minis, doesn't bother me, but it is disappointing when a car that is slower in the turns won't extend the courtesy to you. I'm trying to get more accurate lap times and improve each time I go out, hard to do when you have to back off in the turns! lol

The fancy bug driver needs to learn proper race track edict. Yeah he should of destroyed you in the turns too but... Yes to much of a priss it looks like and is scared to really drive that thing you should offer to take it out for him and show him how it's really done .And when he ask to take yours say sorry this is a big boy toy no pussys aloud. You did great keep up the good work and don't let these idiots discourage you.

Thanks much! The car has really good balance (51% front 49% rear) and the Hellwig sway bars made it stay very flat. I think if you just find the good line, like the instructor showed me, you would do great.

Hey you just reminded me! I still have the scales from the old stock car days. I`m going to try to scale it this week and see what the weight distribution is like. I`m thinking not to good with a big block and stock k member. Will see if its even close to yours! Whats your total weight?

I wish I could find my printout... I know I have it somewhere but since I put it someplace where I won't lose it, I know it's safe... I just can't remember where that place is! lol

I have the Poly 318 with the stock K-member, so my engine isn't that much lighter than yours! haha

We just posted the article on the buckets/harnesses/harness bar, here's all the info so you can check it out: Buckets and Harnesses I kept the bench for so long because I thought it would be cool to have my girl next to me. Last g/f I had didn't even bother sliding over... so to hell with the bench! LOL
