I have a Igintion Point Question 69 RR

Condenser missing?
Not sure why these points are partly disassembled in the picture, the springy parts wrap over to the same stud the wire and condenser connect to, and are all held down by a nut.

I understand what your saying, I just laid the points in place for photo reasons.

I understand that, but standard points don't fit, (see photo of points).

I have a 1969 RR 383, 6.3.
I tried to change out the points, after pulling the points I realized that they don't match, (see photo). From the photo you can see that the post is way to short and the screw holes don't match. My guess is that the distributor is not the correct on. Anyway, does anyone know where I can fine one that matches the one I took out? The one I took out in the top one.View attachment 340465

OK....I have the answer I was looking for. Went to NAPA yesterday with a photo of the points I took out of the 69RR. Of cause they looked up the points in the computer and came up with the same ones that didn't fit. The conclusion was that the distributer is no the correct one for the RR. We worked our way through several different points until we found a match for the ones that come out of the RR. We came up with a match, it was paired up to a 1962 Chrysler Plymouth. No doubt the distributer fits works well but not the correct one.

Thanks everyone for your help, once again the B-Body family came through.
