I just found out my Mom was in the September 1978 issue of Hod Rod magazine driving a Dodge Daytona. She completely forgot about it and my Brother (who's Dad owned the Daytona) was told by Jim (my brother's Dad) about the photo shoot and which magazine it was in. Does anybody have that issue of the mag. I'm wondering if you could scan it for me so I can read it. My brother has the issue but doesn't have a scanner. I thought this was so cool to find out as I missed the photo shoot by exactly 5 years since I was born Sept '83

Thats pretty damn cool...I found out that my uncle was a mopar guy after I bought my gTx...He used to steal his neighbors plymouth and leave his car parked behind it...The owners of the plymouth would call up my grandma and tell her to tell your son to return my car...I asked him why he kept stealing the same car..He said that the litle plymouth was fast little hot rod!!!I also found out that he was friends with the King richard petty..

I was conceived and damn near born in my dads 63 plymouth, so I could mopar is in my dna, lol!!

I was conceived in the back of a 57 Plymouth Wagon, at a drive in movie, so the tale goes, that does explain allot of things, why I seem to like old Wagons & Plymouth's maybe....

My dad took the car to the lake and "got the car stuck in the sand" and that night I was created. My mom never thought anything when they were able to just drive out the next morning. Now I have the car 68 Superbee so thats cool.

Thats pretty cool! Thanks for sharing.. It would be cool to see it, i agree...

I ordered the issue off ebay so I'll scan them and post once I get it. I guess there are actually two pics one of my Mom actually driving the car and then her standing next to it.

Here is the article

So does anybody know of this Daytona. My Mom's ex-husband sold it shortly after they got divorced in '79 for $10k!

That was Jim Radke's Daytona. I know him and still talk to him from time to time. I'll ask if he knows who has it next time I see him.

Yeah Jim's my Mom's exhusband and my brothers Dad. That's how I found out about the magazine and my Mom being in it, they even mentioned her name in the article. I guess it's a small Mopar world.
