I like the show 'Bitchin Rides'

They absolutely ruined the 67 Dodge Coronet by chopping the roof.
Agreed. I believe he said that it did not look right to him and that it looked raised up or something? I just don’t understand why they did that, stock looks fine to me

I didn't have a problem with the minor shave/chop on that one. I could see what he was talking about and why he did it.

And he doesn't LS much of anything. His go to is a boat motor on GM vehicles - the mercury marine SB4

https://www.motortrend.com/how-to/1...-mercury-racing-motor-from-the-roadster-shop/

He does a lot of hellcrates for mopars, and also old school big blocks and hemis depending on the vehicle brand. Just watched him do a 150hp air cooled 4 in an old ('52?) Beetle, with a Porsche fan shroud on it.

I'm not a Corvette guy, but I wouldn't turn my nose up at one of his CF1s...

I like the show;
Mainly because of the work they show them doing,
any of them are not scared to do extensive metal fab
& killer fab/metal or even fiberglass or carbon-fiber work, on point
His customers want what they want...
He's done regular restorations too...

I kind of like his style of VWs/builds,
I do not like anything with painted steel wheels...

The grill & wheels on the 67 Coronet 'were the worst',
otherwise it wasn't that bad, it's show car (I'm not really into show cars)
not really my style, but I wasn't paying for it either,
the owner was happy 'as a clam in soft sand'...

Some builds;
Not my style a lot of times,
but, he gets like $250-$350k for his full custom builds
must be liked by many or doing something right...

Some;
'MoPar crowds' are the absolute hardest people to please,
on anything ever
unless it all OE & that has to be NOS, or org. parts at that
or way more to the stock look
with maybe 15" (maybe 17" if your lucky, at max) Magnums/Ralleys,
or minor day 2 stuff, or just a big *** stroker engine & rest looking factory stock...
Too each their own, takes all types...
I like that too, but not just that...

I like a lot of different cars & some various styles, I like the work they do
(sort of like Rad Rides By Troy, I like his/Troy's better)
but Kindigit is top notch, whether I like the style or not,
the deep dark green 5.0 53 Ford Truck was 'cool as hell'
that Cream colored 55 Nomad was cool too
the Last Fronteer 'cuda from Alaska, big *** Ray Barton (?) 572 Hemi
was pretty cool also

I thought the Carbon Corvettes CF1's were sort of cool idea, light & fast, clean styling
simple, but I don't like the wheels very much :blah: ,
I like Budnik wheels especially, lots of 1 off stuff too
some I'd like if they were just 2"-3" smaller diameter & a lil' more sidewall/rubber...

The over use of big (too big diam. IMO, like 20"-24") wheels & rubber band tires :blah:
is my biggest gripe obviously
or painted, that mono-chromed 'dipped-crap' 90's look,
bumpers & trim/body all the same, no thanks, put some chrome on it
or way too busy stripes/too many side & top stripes, do one or the other
but; the paint is perfectly laid down, 110% quality work...

Hell what's under the paint is stellar,
super quality stuff, show quality even when unpainted
But some of it, not really my style, he's more into the younger crowds way of styling,
show stuff, than mine...

my $1.25

You don’t wanna know, here it is on his website. At least he kept it HEMI powered….

Yuk, and I WOULD kick that thing out of my garage.
That’s not even a Mopar anymore, except vaguely the shape. What a waste of a Mopar. Why ruin a highly sought after and never to be produced again Mopar, when you obviously have the skills and money to fabricate from scratch something that looks like what you built, without chopping up a perfectly good car?

Motor Trend uses clips from that episode as advertising material on the streaming channel.
They made a huge deal of the front end and the LED lights, all "oohing and ahhing" when they turned them on.

It makes me puke. First, the car looks wierd now. Like some kind of cross between Matchbox and legos.

But even worse, is the LED themselves. I despise LED, the more they are used in new cars and the sheer amount of screen area in the interiors, I am sick of cell destroying UV lights in my face all the time. And here we have a car from an era of nice round headlights getting transformed into a toaster slot lit up with blinding white, eye piercing lights.

Not my car. Not my money. I would tell the owner to his face he went full retard.

I like the show, its ok. Mr. Kindig is a very talented guy, I like some of the work he puts out… BUT some of it I also don’t care for either. He actually came to the east coast a few years ago in 2021 for a car show I went to that year, and he liked my stepdads big yellow 1970 Sport Fury S/23. Regarding Kev, meh. I can take em or leave em, he does get on my nerves too sometimes but I guess its all for tv. Why they call him “kev dogg” as a nickname though I don’t know , I think its stupid.
