I need a bolt I don't think exists.

I think what I need to make my fuel line work is a 5/8 -20 banjo bolt with 1 1/4" of thread. I'm trying to get this Edelbrock 8131 kit (photo) to work with my M1 Dual Plane intake but it butts into the intake. Totally impassible. But by shifting the line 1 or even 1/14" to the left it will clear. The only solution I can think of is to find a longer banjo bolt and a spacer to put between the fuel line and the carb to bridge the gap that the bolt can run through. The banjo that comes with the kit is a 5/8 -20 (I have no idea why they put a - before the 20?) with 1/4" of thread. Does the 5/8 even matter? Can I just find an M20 banjo bolt with 1 1/4" of thread that appears to have the same head?

The banjo thread is 5/8 diameter with 20 threads per inch it’s not M20. Couldn’t you just put a small bend in the line to gain the clearance needed?

No, even if I cleared the intake the coil and coil mount bracket are in the way. This is the only way to achieve clearance. Other than some 5/5 x 1" spacer with a male and female 20 threaded ends to connect the banjo and then screw into the carb.

If I did bend it it would be floating pretty high and likely just bang into the choke instead. I guess maybe it could be done but I would rather try the first option.

it may destroy the coating, but heating it and bending it the way you want is an option. a more costly option is having another one fabricated to your specifications... followed by a fee to apply the coating.

If that's the only option. I was hoping someone might know of some supplier online with loads of odd fasteners that might have one.

A lot of equipment used these Banjo bolts so it could be for an injector, a brake line or even hydraulics. Maybe you could find something at an AG Dealership...

Yeah I wasn't limiting my search to car sites. I just didn't find anything after searching for like an hour so figured I would post. Google is pretty useless now.

Russell and Earls fittings will have different options for you.

Do away with the banjo and use a straight AN fitting. I know they are out there because, a friend uses them. I’d put money on a hose store stocking it.
I just looked it up, Summit has a couple different colors.

It might be but I feel like a machine shop would want wild money just due to time involved. Too bad my dad retired from his shop.
