I need picture of flared rear wheel opening

Went from Cal Tracs to Ladder bars.
Reaction time is hard to say because Dad was driving the car when we had the Cal Tracs. The Ladder Bars improved the 60' approx. .004 - .005
BUT... BUT, I have done no tuning at all.
I think I'm heavy on the springs, and I'm still running the Comp. Eng. 3 way adjust. front shocks.
Here is the thing... We have had NO hook - spin - hook issues ever since we went to the ladder bars.

Thanks for your response...
I have NO traction issues whatsoever even with my Cal Trac setup....
1) I am definitely going to Strange Double Adjustables even if I keep my Cal Trac Setup
2) The ONLY reason I would consider Ladder Bars is to get better Reaction Times and that may not be in the cards.
3) Reported benefit of Ladder Bars and Coil Over Shocks is a .150 to .250 reduction in Elapsed Times which would be good.
4) I think I can do Chassis Engineering 36" Ladder Bars with Strange Double Adjustable Shocks for about $1550 in parts and around $750 to $1000 (max) for the install at our local Hot Rod Fabrication Shop and I am considering that. Sell my Cal Trac Setup to recoup some of the cost.
Thanks for all the input

Did you mean .015-.025?

Cal-Tracs work. Joe Midile's 64 Dodge proves it, 9.20's foot breaking.

If you want more consistence reaction times, more consistence 60's I would run ladder bars.

But nothing is saying that you can't stick with the Cal-tracs for now... buy the double adjustable shocks for the front and rear and work on dialing them in. You will defiantly find some ET.

But I think you are limited with cal-tacs and a trans brake.

I have to agree with ES on this one. I was able to get 1.38 60's with my cal tracs working with my double adjustable shocks but there was no consistency. One time would be a 1.38 and the next a 1.42 with no changes. Hook-spin-hook. After lots of research and discussion going ladder bars made sense for me. The one thing that I always found was that no one ever regretted making the change, same as what ES says.
Mike will no doubt pick up with his Cal Tracs and GOOD double adjustable shocks all the way around. Perhaps the best thing to do is get some double adjustables on the front before doing anything and adding some decent rebound. It very well could be all that is needed and they were on the list to buy anyways.

Ladder bars! Maybe that's Doug before his car was orange.

I don't know if Joe Midiles car ever went 9.20. 9.40's for sure though. Joe sold it to a local guy here, Tom Tignanelli. It's been in the 9 teens now. Looks a lot different.

Not a racer...well not in last 30 years and nothing as competitive as class racing but I've always tried to stay in touch with trends and technology.
I guess my question is is there any easy way to get a lower CG without going to a full chassis car? I dont think it would be tough on the rear but getting the front down without spending $5k on a tube front end ....yow!!!
My thought is that would help 60', & get the car moving forward instead of up, am I wrong???

WOW I would have never guessed that was the same car.
Is that the Same Tom Tignanelli that worked for Chrysler? Didn't he have the UFO AWB car and work on the BO29 & LO23 Project?

I was thinking Joe was running the 9.25 index on NS/S... Either way 20's - 40's it's pretty flipping fast for a Cal-Tracs car.

Joe ran either B/FX or C/FX depending on weather. That is why I posted. This car has been very competitive and fast on Cal Tracks. Multi time N/SS winner. Yes it is the Same Tom Tignanelli with the UFO car.

One of my best friends, Clark Rand, bought and renovated the UFO car. Clark's name is on the front fender of my current Coronet.
