I NEED YOUR SERVICES ! Lodi Calif.

I have looked into shipping cars to me when I look at ebay. I looked at the auction sight called Uship. They did the shipping wars tv show now granted a lot of bad things on the show lol but some of the prices I got for a car being shipped to me was 640-1000 and they bid to get your business.

Congrats on the car and I may be in the same shape I just found a 65 Dodge Coronet 426 street wedge car and its a long ways from me.

I love the AMC cars!

Hot damn D!!! looks like younz took da plunge huh?? ya crazy bastard, ya!!! lol

cant wait to see pics of the new ride residing in PA!!!

And I know 68 Sport Sat pretty well and would trust his judgement.

Congrats On The New Mopar Dave!

thanx dude.....but its not a Mopar this time( and it FO-SHO aint no Camaro..VOMIT ) ) since i already have 2 kik *** Mopars, i wanted a car that i have waited for for a long time and it just appeared. 68Sportsatellite checked it out for me yesterday and gave it a good bill of health,,,SO I BOUGHT IT . how could i say no? with the help of good friends on here like 68 SS, he made it easy and im now in the process of paying for it and getting it home . of course Mopars will always rank first in my book...but variety is the spice of life and i couldnt find a decent one around here for less than an arm and a leg and the first male born ! lmao...my barn is gonna look like a jar of jelly beans HAHAHAHAA .... heres the car! >>>>http://cgi.ebay.com/ebaymotors/SST-/261115446876?forcev4exp=true

congrats! always liked the lines on the javelin's..seems to be in good shape!

This thread just reminded me about when I was in grade school, maybe 4th grade, there was a blue Javelin parked in the school lot and I thought it was the neatest car. The lines on the fenders was one of the features that caught my eye back then. Best I can describe the shade of blue would be Grabber Blue used on the 70 Fords. I'm pretty sure it was a teachers car (definitely not a students! Haha!) and probably not a parents because it was in the same spot every day all day. One of my earliest cool car memories. This would go back to the early 70's so the car was pretty much new at the time.

I've had 3 cars shipped across the country by Intercity Lines and didn't experience any of the scarey moments you describe. The drivers were very professional, went over the cars inch by inch and noted any imperfections on the lading bill. They all took a lot of care in loading, unloading and securing the cars. These guys haul a lot of super high dollar cars and their reputation is everything. Coast to coast on an open truck was $1200. and in an enclosed trailer $1800.00. Good luck.
thanks for that feedback. I wasn't trying to imply that all open trailer shipping was bad, but the one that my company secured to transport employee used vehicles from California to Austin, TX was the cheapest they could find. I believe it was $600 per vehicle. You get what you pay for I guess!

well...the car is paid for...the trucking company has been booked and they are picking the Javelin up tonight at 4:00 calif time.

i ended up using UNITED FREIGHT OF AMERICA to get it to Pittsburgh. total cost was $895.00 incase anyone was interested. i went with this company because they were the best to deal with. most i couldnt understand on the phone and just made things too COMPLICATED. THE GIRL AT THE OFFICE I DEALT WITH WAS great. SHE EXPLAINED EVERYTHING BEAUTIFULLY AND IS STILL IN CONSTANT COMMUNICATION WITH ME CONCERNING THE CAR. (frikkin caps lock )....anyway.... the girls name is Jess and their website is at the bottom of this post. i just wanted to tell anyone looking for a shipping company the GREAT experience i had shipping the car. they were $80.00 more than the other company,,,but its worth it to have things go so smoothly.

Jess' extension is 125 if ya call. mention Dave with the orange Javelin and she'll take care of ya!

Once again i want to thank 68SportSatellite for his services. this wouldn't have happened without him ! thanx again Dwayne!!!! YOU ROCK !

Dave, I love Javelins and AMX cars....I see a Silver 71 Javelin around Tampa what made it stand out was it had a Trunk Luggage Rack . If I remember those were factory options
I saw on AMC cars in 71...I think in the last 20 years I have seen only one other and I go to alot of shows..So how rare have these become?..Looking forward to see your photos when she arrives..Thanks Rick

im not too sure of the rarity of these cars, and i go to alot of shows also and have not seen many .....but i just had to have one. seen this one on ebagg and couldnt figure out why it was going for so cheap. the ones around here are going for 12-17000. my main thing with cars is the body. i cant and DONT do body work.....but i can fix anything mechanical. im pretty sure the louvers on it are a hard to get piece coz the guy that sold it to me said that he had 6 people asking to buy the louvers. he also called me and told me he will take off the louvers and put them in the car coz he is afraid they might"disappear" on its way to Pittsburgh.

i know this car is not a MOPAR.. and i really have no business posting about it. i will get pix for you guys if ya want them when it gets here. thanx for your interest!

Ohhh so thats what you had to wait and sign for ...cool car man too bad its so late in the year to see it at any cruises anymore

Monday will come quick, but waiting will seem like it will take for ever...LOL.. like a new PaPa waiting for the kid to squirt out...LOL... Dawg, Cool car, any plans for any changes/mods ??

not sure BUDNICKS. i know those uni-lug aluminum slots MIGHT be coming off WANNADRAG seems to want them and im not too hip on uni-lug rims since my road runner that i had in the 80's lost 8 of the 10 rear wheel studs broke right off coz i had keystone classic uni-lugs on it. kinda left a bad taste in my mouth. i been looking at new rims.

the first thing i'll do is detail it so im working on a nice clean car. then ill work on making it safe.... lights ,,brakes, and what-not. maybe some stripes down the sides....put anti-freeze in it coz commin from california, it might not have any in it,,,lol ....who knows....ill just have to wait and youre right, the waiting is AN ETERNITYYYYYY.

68SportSatellite said it ran great when he went to check it out...so i will change the plugs, maybe wires if need be...oil and stuff. the Road Runner and the Belvedere are completely done so ...i need another project. this will be the last car for a while coz im out of room. i got just enuff room in the barn for the 3 cars and keepin my truck out of the snow...( thats that cold white stuff that usually falls in the north and east parts of the country.... CALI GUY )...lmao...im kiddin ya BUD.. thanx for the interest. more people on this site seem to be more excited about the Javelin than they were when i bought the Belvedere II.. lol..heres where it will be living......hard to believe i can fit 4 vehicles and a motorcycle in there huh ? ill send pix when it gets here...maybe a video if i can figger how to...
