I no longer give a damn about football but my family does.

I can't take all the ads with State farm, the chiefs, and on and on, blah, blah... I won't be watching, but I'll hold my nose and hope the Beagles beat the Chefs.
 
What’s with the Kumbaya commercials? Everyone is someone…..WTF. Flags galore. NFL turned into woke cowards. Players need a goddam lawyer with them on the field to authorize a hit.

I'm a die hard Raider fan and have
been since the AFC teams first came
about.
Haven't watched football since
Caperdick started with his disrespect
for the game and many teams
followed his moronic lead.

Not many cattle ranches in Minnesota.
Most of the cows there live a sheltered
life in the barn in winter.
We did have to fire up the bobcat once
in a while to muck out the barn.
Usually on a saturday. Sunday
mornings were for church, but
sunday afternoons were for good
eatin' and an hour or two of watching
a great game of football.
 
Even in the winter there's plenty of work to be done. Every day before school I had to break the ice on the ponds so the cattle could drink. After school they got hay bales that had to be hauled out and broken up so the cattle all got some. Then there were 50 pound bags of feed pellets I had to string out on the ground. The cattle loved these so that's when you got stepped on the most. The herd had to be counted to make sure they were all well and nobody got sick or killed. Coyotes can't kill a full grown cow but they can sure kill calves. Lots of calves had shortened tails and ears chewed off.

I never got paid but my dad bought me some cool cars.

I've been exposed to two different
regions of the cattle business. Way
up north, and way down south.
Though I did live on the farm up north,
I worked on a ranch down south,
comprised of many of the problems
you describe.
Didn't last too long though. I ended
up in school to obtain an engineering
degree. Working with cows paid for
it. Tough way to make a living being
a cattle rancher....

I was a diehard Raider fan too. Grew up in California. My older brother introduced me to football when I was 10 years old. He liked the 49ers, I thought they were gay because they were a San Francisco team. Yes, we in California back in the day knew San Francisco was the fag capitol of the world. But I digress, I picked the Raiders because I thought their helmets were cool. That was 1974 with John Madden coaching and greats like Ken Stabler, Art Shell, Dave Casper, Otis Sistrunck, Jack Tatum, Cliff Branch, Fred Blitekoff, Jim Otto, Bubba Smith, and Gene Upshaw. It was the last good decade to be a Raiders fan. I was a disgruntled Raiders fan from the mid 80’s to present time when Crapperdick started the whole kneeling thing and the NFL went woke. I too quit watching the NFL , because of the whole kneeling thing, and have not regretted it since. Most years I can’t even tell you who is playing in the Superbowl and I don’t care.
 
The big question is - How many times will the cameras pan to Taylor Swift during the game? :rolleyes:

Those certainly were the glory days
of football. Tough, in your face
battles between teams. Guys playing
with taped up broken fingers.
I was also a Giants fan during the
summer months. Willie Mays, Bobby
Bonds, Wille McCovey.
Neither holds the spectre they once
held. They're all overpaid premadonas.
What a blow to one 's youthful
memories.
 
I don't do sports, but I always do Missouri.

I wonder how many Swifties will tune into the game just to get a peek. It's all about ratings.
I'll turn the volume off at halftime. I have never heard of the performers and don't care to find out.
