Super glue should be able to fix that.

I think that's beside the point...and super glue isn't going to hide the crack.

He’s gonna need to body work it, no doubt.

Looks like the mailman played football with the package. :(

I think USPS, FedEx and UPS actually need to start paying out the total cost of replacement parts, they may start being a bit more careful with packages.

Anvil breakers. They're everywhere.

USPS Priority looked like someone had stomped on it. Everything in the box was well padded.

Yeah, place the parts in a steel safe and ship it!

Gotta reinforce the box on delicate stuff. It's a pita and takes up a lot of time but it's the best way. I've lined many with heavy cardboard then tape the snot out of them....especially the 'if it fits it ships' boxes. They are too light weight.

@moparsaver is a real champion when it comes to packaging stuff well.

He should really be giving lessons here.

Damn shame.. Parts survive 50 years in the wild... Five days with virtually any postal carrier & it gets damaged..... I'll agree there are times when better packaging would have helped... But there are times when it just doesn't matter...
Check out this psycho...

This is the way that i package up parts in the boxes that i send out parts, ever since i have been selling things.
I crumple up the page of a newspaper into "balls" and use that as "filler" "stuffing" to fill up the void space between the part and the box.
Never had a problem, complaint, in all the countless years that i have been doing this.
And many times i have gotten compliments from folks, how well the parts were packaged.
Here's a picture to give you an idea what i'm talking about, here.

EDIT:
This box has a dual snorkel air cleaner assembly in it, so as you can see, there's no empty space between the air cleaner, and the box, for it to move around, in transit to the buyer.
