Up in my neck of the woods, we have a General Aviation Airport now as the Nut Tree Airport. I have never been up close and this personal with a B-24 Liberator. This is the only one remaining that is flying. Compared to the C-5. C-141, and C-130 I crewed on during my AF career, this is small in comparison. Enjoy...

1st couple of pics of the inside are the aft gun compartment...P-51 is a B/C model re-configured for a back seater. Price for a ride is 2100.00...way out of my budget...but with dual controls the Pilot hands the aircraft off and the back seater gets to fly it. Maybe on my Bucket List but not yet. For a B-24 ride...450.00. Beautiful day up here in the North Country too... In the last pic that VVFA to the left kept standing in front of me every time I tried for a head on shot of the P-51. What's a VVFA you ask??? Vacaville Fat *** and there are a ton of them in this town....:snorting:

Cool shots, very cool old war planes

I love the B-24, great looking aircraft and unsung hero of WW2. One of the largest produced aircraft of the war yet very few survive, sadly. There is one here in Australia being restored to static condition that must be close to completion as its been going on for a few years now. We operated them out of the countries north, bombing the Japs in New guinea and thereabouts.

At $450 for a ride, i'd go twice!

Was able to crawl through a B-17 a while back. Tiny inside!

I am still confused about the OPs screen name. He didn't respond to an email when I asked what it meant

That's just a little bit of a understatement, but ya!

He was a Loadmaster in a previous life loading cargo and working with chains & straps. Strap it till it won't move crushing boxes & crates. Get it now?

Going by the title I was expecting a hand full of pills!! Turns out it much better than that. Thanks for posting.

I Tried Crawling Up Into A B-17 Bomber At The Reading, Pennsylvania Air Show Last Summer! No Way..I'm Too Damn Big! That P-51 Mustang Is A Sweet Ride!

I had to climb up a KC135 crew access hatch a couple years ago .. damn I'm out of shape
