Who doesn't? Am I right?

I have a 318, freshly rebuilt, with a high rise edelbrock intake manifold, a holley 4 barrel carb, and a set of hooker headers. It's pushing enough hp and torque to peel out (which I know isn't extremely impressive), but I want more power. What do you guys think I could do?

Also, I don't know what the gear set is on my differential. Is there any way of finding out? I think it's still the stock one. It's a 4-Door 1970 Satellite.

Any help is much appreciated. And I am willing to pay anyone here any amount of money for their help. I should also note that I like to use gold star stickers as currency. It typically annoys the people at the local 7-11, but they eventually come around.

You didn't say anything about your cam choice, so you may have left some HP on the table.

"Assuming" the rear is original and untouched, there should be a tag under one of the nuts that will tell you what the ratio is. If it's gone, you can make an educated guess by getting the rear off the ground, putting the trans in neutral, then spinning (by hand) a tire one complete revolution while watching the yoke. Count the number of times the yoke goes round in that one tire revolution and there you have it.

That will be "One Millllllllllion Dollars" please:HappyNewYear:

NO! You get one meeeeeeeeeelion gold star stickers!!

More power or quicker acceleration? You probably have an 8.25 rear end with 2.71 gears. 3.55's or 3.23's would wake it up. Even if you have to pay to have someone re-gear the 8.25" that will give you the most bang for the buck on acceleration.

Now I'll take my one million box.

I'm all out of boxes, but 69 Runner has his stars in the mail. I wasn't sure where to send them, so I just put 69 Runner as the address.

I was considering a regear on the rear end. And I suppose I should have specified that I really want quicker acceleration. I have a bunch of friends with some riced out hondas, and there's no way I'm going to let them humiliate me on the road. For now, the low rumble of the 318 is keeping them at bay. As are the tire marks on my street. I have a 22 foot mark!

:rolling: They'll reach me at that address

Gears will definitely make it accelerate quicker, but will cost you on the top end

How bout yanking the 318 and swapping in a Big Block ? , I'm not trying to kick a 318 at all, They are tough little motors , they will take mega abuse and keep on going , they are one of the most dependable engine Chrysler has ever built, But they have never been true Powerhouse Performance engines.
