I'd say that this is about $192,000.00 overpriced

I'd have to agree with you on that. It's a gorgeous truck, and I'd love to own it, but I doubt it's worth anything near the price he's asking, or even a 10th of that price.

If you ask me, someone missed out on a chance of driving around in a pretty nice little pick up for the last 23-24 years.

...but, there are always people with more dollars than sense who just might pop for something like this. Who knows?

Shelby dies and all the crazies come out of the woodwork looking to capitalize.

Shelby dies and all the crazies come out of the woodwork looking to capitalize.

I owned three Dodge Shelby cars ('87 Lancer, '86 Omni GLH & '89 CSX) and I can honestly say that the Dodge Shelbys are really the re-headed stepchildren to the Shelby name. Today's fans of (what's left of) the Dodge Shelby cars are truly a bunch of bottom feeders. They all aspire to have a nice Shelby car, but they have no money.

Here's the problem with "Shelby-Dodge" vehicles; The year after Shelby specific vehicles came out, Dodge put equally equipped vehicles produced as "Dodge-Shelby" which were better & priced better. That Dakota is a carburated 318 & was touted at the time as having a V8 in a mid-sized truck. A fuel injected 318 Dakota came out the following year as a regular production option.

So, who wants it? Obviously no one.

lmao all I can say is wow he must be very desperate for money, the sad part is he has been sitting on this truck for all these years waiting for it to be a classic to hit it big...so sad..

dakotas never did anything for me :eusa_think:

dude must have stashed that away waiting for shelby to die thinking he could cash in...

cool truck, but it will never be 200K cool

LMAO!
Cant wait for a Shelby Charger GT to be listed

A few years ago i saw a "brand new" never registered Mustang Cobra R sell at Barrett Jackson. It only had a few miles, and was in the same condition as this Shelby. They were around 60,000 new, and it sold for around 60,000. I think this truck is probably worth what they asked for it new just like that Cobra.

if anyone on this planet is willing to pay 1/10th of that price for that truck,i have a bridge to sell them!

I'm going to say this isn't going to work out how the guy envisioned back in 89.

Amazing. Enter the world of the 87 Buick Grand National speculators. At least those had a turbo V6 and could run 11's with serious tweaking. I can just hear what was going through the guys head in 89. Oh man, I'm gonna put it in a plastic bubble that is back filled with nitrogen, pay to store it, and cash in right when I'm ready to retire. Woo hoo!! I'll be rich!! FF to 2012 and a slightly rusty 69 Dart with a 6 is worth more.

Makes you wonder what other people have bought and stashed away waiting for the big score. Most will be sadly brought back to reality someday.:sad10:

yea everything I own is "For Sale"...@ 200,00.00'ea.
(except my home)...even my girlfriend.

Too many non believers, but you have to drink the cool-aid to pay them kind of astronomical prices...LOL... :headbang: Remember the Viper, R/T Dakota & Durango, was a collaboration with Shelby too... :argue:

It is a nice looking truck.. but the price is a lot unreal.. People do weird things and have big expectations i don't think this one will pan out.

I have a 87 Daytona Shelby Z...it's a beautiful car, turbo II, leather...loaded.. not seen a winter since 89 and been in the family since.

I can't give it away..I've had it on the turbo dodge forum and I can't get a bite. It's like they all think they have to find something OFF the board and come on and say what a great deal they got, all while paying more for junk than I'm asking for a nice survivor...

I agree, they are the mutant child of a one night stand in Thiland.
