If a double pumper is good

Made up the hoses tonight. I know there are some cons to this set up, but it's simple and less fuel volume hanging out on top the engine should help prevent vapor lock. I've struggled with this a bit at times on the roadrunner with this shitty pump gas

Looks great :thumbsup:

I like it at-least, "With the left side hoses & the shorty lines"
it looks like it's a whole lot easier to access base plate
mounting studs/nuts {bolts}, not having the distributor, wires,
coil, center carb vent, choke stove etc. in the mix & in the way...

---------------------------------------------------------------------

I have to remove at a min the center fuel line portion of mine,
{mine is OE location with -6 A/N} on the right side at the carb
just to access the baseplate mounting nuts, mine is studded also
had to trim the right front stud on the center carb just to clear
{interference} the fittings too
I made the hoses as short as possible & still have enough pliability
to get them on & off "somewhat painlessly"

I also have mine on phenolic spacers too, so far so good...
BUT;
I do need to fatten it a tad bit, after the spacers, again...
I'm going try {?}
to go up 2 jett sizes all around, should compensate enough

I have no problems with vapor lock {so far}
I have no heat riser to the manifold & alum. Eddy heads
& mounted MP 383-400 6bbl Intake, A12 6bbl lift off hood too
gets plenty of air, thru a K&N 3" 6bbl filter...

I may have to mess with the idle circuit a tad too, go down /fatten
it's showing lean on the plugs, after the spacers & new -6 A/N lines
{I ran the lines & bypass reg. farther forward by the rad support &
to the front of the engine,,so not to get any exhaust heat or albeit
heat from the side of the alum. rad, may effect it some, it far less anyway
}
seems that it likes/wants a bit more fuel...

My new upswept & towards the rear & down the fire wall,
style headers, I'm still fab-ing up
{it has the HP robbing, ported honed HP manifolds on it currently, still lots of heat}
will sweep up a tad bit too, much like the 63-64 S/S Manifolds
so I wanted it far way from that too...

I figured it'd be fat as hell, if anything after I put the HP manifolds back on,
because I had steering clearance issues with the rack & pinion,
with the headers, but to my surprise, I still need to fatten it up some,
so much for figuring...LOL
I guess them being ported, they work better than I figured...

Played with it a bit today. Ended up using the 4412 center. It's coming around, end carbs were really lean at idle so I had to work on them. It flat runs when you go WOT.

Damn that looks really clean too :thumbsup:,
no vacuum pots & tight plumbing, tighty & uncluttered
you can't do with the OE style...

1500 cfm, 0-4412 500cfm, all mechanical outboards
I'll bet it sounds like it's sucking the clouds out of the sky
when it's at WOT... :lol:

very cool

pretty hard to beat as far as streetable cfm. Not sure if it's faster than any of the other combos I've had on it but, it does put a smile on your face when you go WOT and the car slides into the oncoming lane in a semi non controlled manor..

1060 cfm if you compare to a 4 barrel, but who's counting.
Looks fantastic! Bet it feels great too.
