This one is out by our ranch. I couldn't care less about them but I know some like them.

Yeah I never understood the draw to that car or others from its era. They look like blocks on wheels or something, I dunno...

I reckon they are awesome, 57 Chevy, 63 Corvette, 68 Mustang, 68-69 Charger, Superbirds, Hemi engines, all iconic, significant in automobile history.

Pretty much anything with fins or older is not for me....but I can understand the attraction of them to some.

I thought 283 was as big as you could get in those, most were six poppers ... I spied the 327 rocker cover sticker... It does look solid and complete..

Yeah, 327 didn't come along until about 4 years later.
Other than that, car looks pretty unmolested. Here's to hoping it doesn't get turned into another
*GAG* pro street mess or yet ANOTHER slammed old car.
Mini-rant here:
If I could rid our hobby of one single practice that's been beat to freaking death, it would be the
"lower the hell out of everything" movement.
Damn, I am so beyond tired of that shiyat...it's so lame.

I would not mind owning a 55 or a 57 Chevy.
A friend of mine had a 55 when I was 17, used to help him wrench on it.

I like 'em. Buddy of mine is restoring a '57 Power Pack (270 horse w/ 2X fours) car. He has another one that he bought back in '77 with money that he earned bagging groceries as a teenager. That one is not stock and I've been riding shotgun in it for 40 years now. Probably explains my affinity for them.

Maybe we're old school as I agree. There's a 'range' in my pin where a car can be lowered (or raised) to the point of looking odd. Same with wheel size, I like the larger wheel sizes to a limit before they get odd looking. I have 15" on my car (oem 14's) and if I had a do-over, might have gone 16". Get too large in my view - the wheels get a bicycle look to them...

There ok . But I wouldn't go looking for one ! My wife likes them but it seems she likes every car that's super hard to get! Or held up on a golden thrown!

I don't really care for cars from the 50's
40's or earlier or 60's and later !
I got this 56 caddy here I think it's ugly as sin but people like different things I guess .

I can still remember Grampa giving one of my Uncles crap about lowering the back of his 57 to the point it would drag the rear bumper upon acceleration and wear the front tires out do to lack of front alignment range.
I really don't think the trend will end till our mod of transportation changes.

Fast forward to 1 minute into the video for a clear explanation of when the 327 came out.

I like those. For a Chevy. Its a classy looking family car. 5,6,7 Chevys are pricey. Not for me.

When I was young, I always wanted one of those. Not so much now.

I like the 55 & 57's don't care for the 56's
