sgt. jonathan hendricks 3852 s. 29th. st. a2 tacoma, wa. 98409 706 527 4354 if anyone is close i would sure like to know if that car is still at that address. tks all.
well, looks like i am going to get the car after all. finally got paperwork and shipper said the car is on the truck in salt lake city and on the way. what a nightmare this has been. buyers beware on long distance deals!!!!
I hope I'm wrong about this but I'll be suprised if this isn't a scam. I've seen Hundreds of similar scams on craigslist and it works like this.
A scammer copies a picture of a desirable car then posts it on Craigslist at an
unbeleivble price. This generates a fever pitch of interest. The sellers contact is either a Doctor, Attorney or military.
If the perspective buyer wants to see the car in person, an excuse or several excuses will be given to the buyer as to why it cannot be seen.
The money is either bank wired, or by Western union and sometimes by bank check.
Once the money is sent, the deal is done and the buyer will never see the goods.
A fake bill of lading is sent to the buyer via email and this buys the scammer a few more days to pick up the cash then start a new scam.
Most times the seller is not even in the same State or country. Hundreds of these scams are completed each day and Craigslist is the preferred venue. If scammed contact the internet fraud division of the FBI then file a claim against craigslist.
then file a claim against craigslist with the FTC then file another claim with your State Attorney General. This can all be done online.
I hate to see anyone scammed, especially a Mopar brother.
well, the car finally showed up. no fender tag, no id # on the post. got a notarized realease of interest and a bill of sale. lot of good stuff on the car. now either looking to sell and recoop my money or hopefully find a decent 66 or 67 to put it all in.
