Been trying to trouble shoot the electrical nightmare that came with the car when we bought it. Finally got to the point where we could see if the motor would turn over and with the turn of the key nothing happened but a slight clicking noise from this relay(see picture). Not sure what it is for and the diagram I have doesnt seem to have it on there. Ive tested the wires all running to the starter relay and in the column and they all have juice while the key is on except the wire running to the starter solenoid. Checked juice through the fuze box inside and out and nothing the only thing that I can come up with is that whatever this relay is is the problem based on its clicking sound. If anyone has any ideas on what could be the problem please feel free to share.

Well the picture of the relay wont upload but the part number off of it is. as follows : 0732
3513 472
36033

have you tried a different battery? might show you 12+v , but might not have the amps to crank your motor. Seen many batteries do this. something to think about.

No I dont believe thats the issue. We can jump the starter relay and the motor tries to turn over but its not hooked up to gas line yet. For some reason when the key is turned to the start position it doesnt give any juice to the starter. The starter relay is new so is the neutral safety switch and like i said i check all the wires coming into the relay and they all read around 12V except the wire to the starter.

If the starter relay clicks in when in 'start', then neutral safety switch is OK. If you have 12V on one side of the relay contact and the relay closes, and 12V ain't coming out the other side, then I would say that relay is no good...

Work out how to post a pic, it would help..

Got it figured out a while ago. The neutral safety switch was put in backwards so wires were on backwards. Go figure.
