Ignition lock repair

Looking for someone who can repair an ignition switch so key I have will work...called a local auto key repair shop and they say they cannot do it????? I took it apart and found locksmithing is not my forte!!!!! Any help? Thanks in advance.

I had the same issue once. I couldn't find a local locksmith to rekey a car lock. No one did them anymore, until I found one. Out of the dozens of local locksmiths, finally one of them knew of one that still did them. My advise if you already haven't...ask around to other locksmiths and hopefully one will know.

you can replace the tumbler slides they have a number witch = a length and or depth of the tumblers not to many numbers . so a small tumbler key and spring take a few old ones and from a door lock to get the code for the key trial and error
