I purchased a radiator support to hood seal from Classic Industries several days ago. When it arrived, I found that the attaching holes were punched incorrectly so they didn't align with the mounting holes. I contacted them and got a Return Authorization and spent $7.00 to return it. A few days later I received a partial refund for the part only, not the $9.95 shipping or the $7.00 return shipping. When I inquired about why I should pay for the shipping of an incorrectly made part they gave me a link to their return policy. I didn't see any reference to defective parts. Guess they don't get any...Yes, I know I could have re-punched the mounting holes, but figured why not let them get it right?
At any rate, this is my response to them:
Ms. Ruelas,
Let me understand this: You send me a DEFECTIVE part; that is, it wasn't made correctly so it won't fit my vehicle, and I have to pay shipping both ways to return it? What kind of customer service is that?
I am a very active member of FBBO.com and will insure that all members know of this totally unfair policy. In addition to that, please remove me from your customer list as I won't be buying anything else from Classic Industries or recommending your site. In this day and age, with so many sources available on the net I would think that you would take better care of the customers you have.
