OK help me out....... Im looking for a blue package try for my 68 satti with defrost. Who has them?
I am pleased to see that you have had a satisfactory result with your complaint Dave. It certainly looks like Classic Industries need to have another look at their Service Rep's training program, and pointing out company policies etc. There is nothing worse than feeling cheated when being involved in a deal with sub-standard product. I suspect a lot of attention came to this problem as CI is a Site Sponsoring Vendor, and as such they have a reputation to protect......it's also good to see that one of their staff took time to personally contact you and try to reach a resolution here. Other companies could take a lesson here. Although I also suspect that a Forum with a membership in excess of 25,000 people worldwide does indeed have some clout when it comes to peer pressure and fighting for what is right in this cut-throat hobby/business environment. For those who doubt the "power of the post" I would like to conclude my experience with Classic Industries and their return policy. Yesterday afternoon I received a phone call from Tony Pummell of CI. He said that he had read my email and that the customer service rep had been misinformed. It is NOT their policy to charge shipping on a defective product and he would see to it that the shipping costs were refunded to my PayPal account. He then asked me about my post on FBBO and requested that I please update my post to indicate that CI had indeed refunded all the shipping charges. We discussed the problem with the product and I agreed to take pictures of my radiator support and my original seal so that he can deal with the vendor that supplies these to them. Done and done.
Would I have gotten the same results with the BBB? Doubt it. By having a targeted forum and audience of their customers I was able to get the solution I wanted and help them out at the same time. And that, MY FRIEND, is why I ragged about a product on this forum.
Thanks to Joey and everyone who contacted me, both in posts and in PMs. It's never about the money...It's ALWAYS about the principle.
Thanks for the info Hemi. I didn't know about Mega Parts but will definitely look to them in the near future.I never purchase anything from CI or YO anymore....Due to many reasons....Including your situation I have experienced the same from them....
Jaime at MEGA PARTS is the man, has the same parts and has normal shipping costs....I can return anything for an account credit or if defective as in your case, full refund!.....He is 100% for the customer....
I purchased a radiator support to hood seal from Classic Industries several days ago. When it arrived, I found that the attaching holes were punched incorrectly so they didn't align with the mounting holes. I contacted them and got a Return Authorization and spent $7.00 to return it. A few days later I received a partial refund for the part only, not the $9.95 shipping or the $7.00 return shipping. When I inquired about why I should pay for the shipping of an incorrectly made part they gave me a link to their return policy. I didn't see any reference to defective parts. Guess they don't get any...Yes, I know I could have re-punched the mounting holes, but figured why not let them get it right?
At any rate, this is my response to them:
Ms. Ruelas,
Let me understand this: You send me a DEFECTIVE part; that is, it wasn't made correctly so it won't fit my vehicle, and I have to pay shipping both ways to return it? What kind of customer service is that?
I am a very active member of FBBO.com and will insure that all members know of this totally unfair policy. In addition to that, please remove me from your customer list as I won't be buying anything else from Classic Industries or recommending your site. In this day and age, with so many sources available on the net I would think that you would take better care of the customers you have.
Can you amend the title of the thread...
I'm NOT done with Classic Industries...
