I'm ready for Hockey season..

The two magic words --- GAME SEVEN ---
Almost always a great game...

Let's Go Islanders !!! Yes !!! Yes !!! Yes !!!
I was in the coliseum when the Isles last hoisted their 4th consecutive Stanley cup, sweeping the daunted Edmonton Oilers with Gretzky,Messier, et al...

Tampa Bay found a legal loophole to be $ 12 million over the salary cap, and play Nikita Kucherov in this series....
It would be poetic justice if she misses Game Seven !!!!

I don't root for injuries, but we have to hit them, hit them hard, and keep on hitting them, but must stay out of the box... I sincerely hope Cal Clutterbuck and Matt Martin, and others are on a mission to limit their time and space.
Best hockey name right there. Cal Clutterbuck! I’m actually a fan now. They spanked the B’s. They’ve got grit.

I went to college at the University of Pennsylvania in Philly... I was at the Spectrum, when we lost to the Flyers in Game 5, May 22, 1980.... We know what happened two days later, at 7:11 of Overtime, May 24, 1980 !!!

I came back to Long Island one year later, and have been a season ticket holder since 1982...
I participated in the parade for Cups 2 , 3, and 4....

And, we should have won cup # 5 in 1993... We would have beaten Montreal and the Barry Melrose led Kings if it wasn't for the violent and 20 game suspension hit by that coward Dale Hunter on Pierre 58-74=132 Turgeon...

At least, I later got to reveal to Pierre that I made Hunter's life miserable everytime she was in the Marriott, across the street from Our Coliseum....

I was a season-ticket holder in section 212 during the 80's, until I moved to NJ.

When the Crapitals came in , I would always call the Marriott the night before the game, tell them at the Front Desk that I was watching Dale Hunter's kids, and that one had some medical issue, and I needed to speak to him... they would always patch me in to his room....

I would then scream and yell at him --- at 2 - 3 : 00 in the morning, tell him what a P.O.S. she was, etc. etc.

At an alumni event a few years later, I was able to let Pierre know what I did to Hunter every trip into Long Island since !!! He was in stitches !!! He said, "No way"...
I told him, OH YES, every Islanders - Crapitals middle of the night before the game until she retired....Pierre and I High Fived, for sure !!!

I play to WIN.

TBL showed vs Florida that they can now play heavy and dirty.....if you want that.

So far only a touch of that in the NYI series, but the Islanders hinted they might want some of that in the last game.

I like a good game, but I'd take another 7-0 spanking by my Bolts!

...and they got to the playoffs without #86.

#21 for the win (and possibly an all time NHL record consecutive playoff game goals as well)

The VGK's will be a force to be reckoned with for many a post season to come, IDC about the rest of the season!

I missed it...too bad NYI lost...as a lowly wings fan...can't stand T B

Not the game I was expecting, but will take the W.

My wife is a big Yanni Gourde fan, so she had fun.

Disappointed of the outcome, but the 2 best teams played a hell of a series. 2 years in a row. I wondered if the loss of Anders Lee would make a difference. It did.

I was mad as hell when the Wild traded Cal.
Hes about as old school as it gets these days, and the stache goes along with it.

I don’t blame you. He made a fan out of me.

So the Canadiens avoided getting swept. Bolts will remedy that. The 2 best teams played in the prior series, Bolts/Isles.

I have no doubt tampa will take the cup....they have a great game from the litte bit I got to see this year's play offs.

Again, the 2 best teams in hockey played against each other in the semi-finals for the 2nd straight years. Lightning & Islanders. Hats off to the Bolts, congratulations.

An Anders Lee or Oliver Wahlstrom or Kiefer Bellows short of Winning Cup # 5.... What a shame....

And how did Barry Trotz keep Uncle Leo (ZERO (0) goals)
On the first line... he took down Barzy's and Eb's effectiveness..... When was the last time a First Liner score ZERO (0) Goals in --- 19 --- playoff games ???
Answer: N E V E R .....

So, congratulations, Tampa Bay, you do have a very good team, no question. We were a whisker short... And had a far tougher path to climb. And I get a year older....
