I'm so happy I'm crying

I am humbled by your deep sense of gratitude for your job. I feel ashamed for complaining when things get tough at work. I'll remember your story and be a better man for it. Congratulations and thanks for sharing, Pal.

Awesome news and congratulations! Saw your post on the thread about wives/girlfriends dealing with us car-nuts and your story was really amazing. So here's to many more summers with the gtx and may they all be better than the last, congratulations!

good for you bud. when the going gets tough--the tough get going.

I was out of work for almost 2 years - lost the house, the old car - pretty much everything by the time it was over. Finally got back to work in Feb. 2011 and have been going strong ever since. I know what you're going thru - good luck and I hope it lasts longer than 6 months.
Mike

Great news, I know a few people in similar situations and it can be tough, I hope they keep you...... best of luck.

As some of you may know I've been out of work, laid offfor a year and unemployment was nearing the end. I haven't been able to find ajob paying more than $12 hr. I've been prepping the house for sale if it camedown to it and had an arrangement with a friend to buy my car with thestipulation that I could buy it back when I got on my feet. Well I just got acall from my former employer. One of the guys at work is out hurt, and will beout for 6 months. They want me to come back to work until he returns. They are guaranteeingme six months and if gets busy I will get to stay, if not I'm back to theunemployed. I'm sooooooo happy to be going back to work!!!! I feel as if a hugeweight has been lifted off my shoulders even if it's only temporary.

Great news I wish you all the best, work around here is really "glacially slow" too, I can relate, I'm not in a bad situation thou, not planning on selling anything yet...LOL... I'm really glad I own all my stuff/house/cars/trucks outright & don't have/make any payments on anything in this crappy economy, it would be an issue then.... good luck, I hope you work long & hard...

I do order selecting, shipping/receiving, load and drive trucks.

God bless to you and your family! I too faced hard times, and lost the house. Another member here offered some help (You know who you are, and I'll never forget that!), but it was too late for my place. I just hope that WE ALL learned something from this! Just like our grand parents that lived through the Great-Depression did. Them folks were frugal because they REMEMBER the feeling of an empty stomach! Weren't no food-stamps then! As kids we made fun of them for being "cheap". They weren't, they were frugal, and didn't buy anything they couldn't afford after that. They learned a lesson. Did we?

I'm as frugal as they come. My ex (son's mom) used to call me cheap. I wouldn't have what I have if I didn't get the most for every dollar. I don't buy it unless I really need/want it and can get a deal on it. I'm very picky about where I spend any extra $$. I was prolly the last person to have dial up internet, now have dsl.. fast enough/cheap enough. Just got my first semi smart phone. Everything I have I paid for myself, no one ever gave me anything, that's the way I was raised. I am sooooo grateful that I have been able to buy a house to raise my son in. I feel for those of you that have lost theirs. A house, a mopar ya they're nice but in the end it all doesn't matter as long as you have family/loved ones and health. Thank you all for the wishes and corgratulations.

Trust in our Lord and Savior Jesus Christ!!!!
