I'm thinking about making a short movie.

You can't force a thought. Well, I can't anyway. It has to just come naturally.
I can't imagine what it must be like to be a musician or comedian. You have to create new stuff all the time to remain relevant.

I'm still kicking this idea around.
When I did the last movies, it was in 1999 and 2000. I thought of recycling some footage from then and I still could except for the scenes of people. We all have changed a bit in 24 years. Some passed away, some I don't know anymore. The rest of us? Graying hair, wrinkles and all of us gained at least some weight.
The newest idea includes an opening with a montage (With voice over narration) of quick edited scenes from the last movie to recap it all, then fading to black. An onscreen graphic reads Many Years Later . . .
Modern day: I'm driving home from work on what is my last day. I'm now retired. Over the next few days, I'm doing stuff around the house and get flash ( 1 second) images/thoughts of the days of bounty hunting and the car chases and wrecks I went through. Dream sequence: I'm driving the Duster in various ways and loving it.
I wake up and tell Mary that I think that I want to get another old Mopar to have fun with. This sets off a search for some car. Just about any 68-74 Rear wheel drive V8 car to build. I meet several characters along the way and am getting discouraged until I stumble across this car....

The guy selling it looks like the guy selling the red Plymouth in Christine. I can recreate the dialog from the movie but with a few changes.

I then build it into THIS car:

The final scenes consist of burnouts, power shifting, turning corners, freeway driving all over the state.
This is not the final draft, it is just another idea that may or may not be used.
I have a spare $10, let me know if you need an outside investor. :)

Don't get too extravagant.....you'll put the rest of us in an awkward position.....guilt-tripping us into donating.

Nothing financial-like.
I don't mind suggestions and advice. I'm still unsure of how I'm going to record it all. I have one digital video camera but would like to have two. I'd defer to using the cell phone but I don't like the picture quality. Maybe the resolution on smart phones has improved but mine doesn't record fast acting video very well.
When I did the last movie, I had tried to have 3 cameras on the days that I jumped the cars. I wanted different angles to be able to add flair to the jumps and to have the option to use the same jumps in different parts of the scene. If I jump a car 3 times with 3 camera angles, I can edit it all together to look like up to 9 jumps.
I'm pretty sure that I will not be jumping cars in this one. I'd like to but I have to actually consider the potential injuries. I'd have someone else drive but I don't know anyone crazy enough.

How does Mrs K-Dog feel about you acquiring a "casting couch" just on the off-chance you need to employ some females on set?

And should we call you Greg Weinstein after the couch arrives?

That is funny.
For my second movie, I had it where I was a bounty hunter chasing down a car thief who had stolen my car a year prior. Catching him would get revenge and a paycheck. To find the guy, I tracked down his girlfriend who had worked as a stripper. I had scenes where I went into strip clubs. I had to pirate scenes from movies to "pretend" like I was walking through them looking for her.
I don't know any hot young women. None. I wish that I did. Some harmless eye candy is nice to see.
Mary is secure and confident with me. I'm not the cheating kind.

you should come up with at least 2 or 3 short catch phrase lines to include in the movie that people will remember. That would be fun.
