IN-N-OUT Burger

Yeah...pictures of food one of those easy order steak place advertisements on TV shows a beautiful slab of steak no fat on it...then I went there and ordered their steak...didn't look the same as in the commercial...I got one that was friggin 50% rubbery fat. No I wasn't really expecting one like on TV but thought one somewhere close might be a possibility...ah nada!
Yeah allegedly great "Omaha steaks" BS
My dad is an impulse buyer, he buys way too much of that sort of crap
Anyway he got duped, bought 2 orders :realcrazy:
the beef steaks & the rest of their meat shrinks up like 50%,
I think they inject it with water, before flash freezing,
a shitload of fat & gristle too
hamburgers were like silver dollars after cooking,
you could use them as sliders
The Crock pot stuff wasn't as bad,
you cook the meat to death, 12hrs in a crock pot it's pretty tender,
only then...

the 2 big *** Styrofoam containers, they ship in with dry ice
are good for going fishing :jackoff: use them as coolers,
I think they may have a 10,000 shelf life too, for landfill...

The fillets were a fucken' joke,
mercy killing them cows/old bulls probably

they called & my dad to get a survey
he let them have it, I was so proud...

I may do some research tomorrow and go to In n Out and Nations and get some cheese urgers and take/post pictures of each. With the day's 'news' paper as proof of course.
I've been craving a Giant burger since this topic came up.

Sad to say in this day there remain enough businesses around to eff ya. Where I took my ply for motor rebuild they charged a huge price and I ended up spending hours and more cash to rework it myself Same deal getting my rag top replaced just **** work both places came recommended too! I wonder how they do this and stay in business

I've had a few things from Omaha Steaks, Colorado Boxed Beef, Schwans, etc.

They were OK, but not any better than things I can go to the grocery and buy myself for about the same price.

I can't handle that constant pressure to buy more, that those companies live by.

.....so no thanks.

It’s what the US economy runs on my friend. If people stop buying our economy goes to hell. It’s consumer based.

I

lll bet you are stuffed. That’s two good burgers - got to admit the big one looks good but at twice the price I would expect it to be bigger. Now was it better?
Yes.
I got what I paid for & consider it a good value for a 3/4 pound burger.
I got a dbl/dbl & cheeseburger & fries at In-n-out
Cost $9.05
Had a cheeseburger & fries at Nations
Cost $8.89
The Nation's meal weighed as much and was excellent as usual!
They're both good places with excellent staff.

I didn't eat all that there, took some home for the Ma-in-law.
Edit:
Their salmon burgers are outstanding!

I work with a couple of guys that transferred from the Vanuys plant in California. All they could talk about is In and Out burger.
Well, In and Out has been here in Texas for about 5 yrs so the wife and I gave it a shot. I didn’t see what all the fuss was about. The burger was good but the fries were to bland. I don’t care if they were fresh cut or frozen. I’m buying and eating junk food, load me up with the junk.
There was a hamburger joint that I used to go to as a kid that had the same 50’s throw back decor with fresh cut fries but I think most of them are gone now. Anyone remember this place.

There are no "In & outs" in these parts,But many places to go for a burger. Both fast food and expensive fast food like 5 five GUYS.Last time there was $17 for double cheese, fries and a coke........
There has to be a cheaper way to a death wish and heartburn

All in all an unhealthy thread we have going here. Whisky and a shot of ice would be better for you.
