Helped my neighbor do something similar to his 67 galaxy fast back when he got back from Vietnam. Lot of work messing to get the oil pick up to work but great fun for a little kid to be part of. Still like the look for somebody else's car. *** in the air.jpg

I like the caption. Did that to a 67 Coronet in the mid 70's just to see how it would act and feel like. I lowered the front end all the way down to the stops and aired up the shocks to the max. It was funny acting as hell and sure got plenty of curious looks. Front end geometry isn't even in the equation when they are like this let along try to align it. Except for the rear tires, the Coronet looked pretty close to this one lol. The ride was terrible and going over 45 felt like was about all I was brave enough to drive it and turning into a side street going more than 15 felt like it wanted to turn over.

Like I said " on some one else's car". I put a 15" over springer on my Norton for a week... Like 6 inch stiletto's looks best done by someone else.

I think about half that far up is still cool. I always thought it started with drag cars. Instead of tubbing they just raised the rear to clear the tires.

Reminds me when I was a kid. I had the hot wheels cars that looked like that with a big blower with no hood.

I think I had that one, did it have a wing, was it a daytona, if I remember correctly, lol..

Looks dangerous as hell. I like 'em up a few inches in the back but that's about it. Maybe the fuel pump crapped out and he went to a gravity system.

bitd i did this to a 68 charger...lol.
the original rear was a 1 wheel peel, and i put in a truck dana.
That, looked just about the same as the picture above lol.
embare-assing to recall,lol.

just remembered,seeing the comments again,
there was a company that made these chargers too, muscle machines?
that did the same thing on some of their chargers.
somewhere in the boxes of diecast i still have those.

That 68 is a legit car, no photoshop. I thought I read elsewhere that it was owned by some Asian dude...

That's taking the LA rake to extremes...

Saw allot of that in the mid 70's...

I'm kind of partial to bit lower stance & tuck all the tire in/under the wheel wells,
with a slight rear to front LA rake...

pretty tough going into driveways & parking lots with that nose down *** way up stance...

I like that analogy...LOL

With the rear way up, traction went away. For those that ever placed corner scales under a car sitting level then jacked up one end or the other they saw a big weight difference in what the scales read.

What's worse? Lol
I'll take a car with the front end up for street light racing lol. They suck on the top end but usually have much better traction than a car with the tail in the air. Neither one will handle well at high speed though....

I know, it's a snow plow.

That would be a real waste of drivability if there is a real 572 Hemi under the hood. I wouldn't want to be in it at any speed. If the owner is an asian dude, he needs to go back to the Honda with the sewer pipe exhaust. Safer and better looking IMO

the charger is just wrong.....it, (the Charger) IMVHO is worse.

I love the gassers

Yep I'd take that 55 Gasser too, some hate that era I like it...
They didn't have the tires, compounds & trick shocks & suspension parts we have today,
they did it to get traction, weight transfer at the track &
not for the looks or handling aspects on streets/roads...
Great 60's vibe going on, I loved the nostalgia stuff too...
I've driven a couple of them, they weren't/aren't actually as bad, ill handling,
as some may think either...

Like I said I build my cars, to be low center of gravity & all the tire tucked inside...
