What they want is to move people on to mass transit. Don't think the idea is practical, educated idiots.

Even worse, they want you on foot in "15 minute cages." Or was that cities? Eh, what's the difference?

Urban is where EV will have the most promising impact. Most light rail today in urban setting is electric. Thus there is already better support to EV. CIty driving is where EV efficiency increases vs internal combustion. Not to mention less owner maintenance and better city air quality. With 86% of US population living in what is considered "Urban" (City and suburbs) its only logical to target thoughs areas.

Please explain to us how people living in a densely populated city are expected to be able to charge their cars when you may not even be able to find a space anywhere close to home even with a gas powered car. Let's throw in a good nor'easter storm into the mix. That should be fun trying to watch people with near-dead batteries getting out of a snowdrift, or going dead trying to find a space. As far as improving air quality, the increased demand for electricity will only increase the burning of coal and natural gas elsewhere.
