*** in the Air stance , May look stupid to some mean to others

Holy Crap, back in 1978 I owned a '73 Camaro that sat the same way as that Charger! N50-15 on the rear, and F70-14 on the front. The guy I bought it from put air shocks AND traction bars on the rear. Damn, this car drove like ****! The back would bounce all over the place at speeds above a brisk walk. Steering was vague at best. I drove it home and removed all the "improvements" he tacked on that poor car. Sold the ridiculously big rear tires and wheels and threw some Cragar SS wheels on it. Drove it for about two weeks and sold it for more than I paid for it.

What's worse? Lol

I would LOVE to have that '55 gasser! I dig that look a lot! Almost did that to a '68 D100 that I own. Decided to lower it, instead. I like both looks.

Years ago, my brother-in-law had a beautiful silver metallic '56 Chevy 210 post sedan that was done as a gasser. It had a gorgeous black Naugahyde diamond-tuck interior done in Tijuana. The car had a '66 dual quad 327 with a four speed. Cragar SS wheels all around. That car was tits! I was about nine or ten when he had that, and I loved every opportunity to ride in that!

looks like crap !!!:pottytrain2: i like it the other way low to the ground

A bit much in the back for me. But still think it looks bad as hell. Drop it down a bit so you can still have those nasty fatties on the back - and then show some pic of it doing wheel stands....

I think its redonkulous, when I was a kid I saw probably 12 to 16" shackles on 4 door cars that barely ran and I thought it was redonkulous then, but they had STP stickers at least.

Oh man, those leaf spring shackles!!! Those were on SO many cars back then! Funny to see them hanging a foot below the bumper on a car that still sits at stock height, the leafs with a severe negative crown in them....

I think it may be a violation of the "all things in moderation" rule.

I remember that stance my cousin done on his '66 Coronet, with shackles and all. Now it looks "ridiculous" and "dangerous" but at the time it had the same appeal and adoration to people as the modern fartcans and the "herrafrush" on Hondas etc.

My uncle had a AMX with roughly the same stance. Then someone rearended him, went under the bumper, hitting the axle. Ripped the spring perches from the frame, folded the driveshaft, and broke the tail housing completely off the transmission...

They sold a lot of t-shirts that look like that Charger picture. Reminds me of the Thundebolt and Lightfoot Fury. Any bunnys in the trunk?

In the early 70's, my 70 Roadrunner was jacked up, but, not to that extreme. It was the "style" of the time. Today my 69 Satellite sits dead stock even.

Oh wow! I wonder how long those shackles are? Sure reminds me of when I was a kid! There were a lot of guys doing that....

That's what I call the hot rod mullet. Business up front, party in the back. Still looks fine on hockey players.

Just like the negative camber knuckleheads. "Look at me, look at me!" Its not practical, but, hey, they dont know we are laughing at them.

I find it very interesting the comments. Quite a few seem a bit critical and many of you EXPECT people to like your car the way it is now. The critique ranges from drag racing to what appears may be circle track capability. If you grew up in this era the guys back then could care less about drag racing and circle track capability it was a style. White guys were into this type of car, while most black guys like Buick Electra 225's or Duce an ahh Quatahs" . Your professional performance opinion? ....they did it simply for LOOKS! So who likes you because you like your car the way you do? May be awkward and a bit extreme ...for gawds sake just enjoy it for odd trends for what they were just trends. Your "professional" opinion is meaningless.

This is what mine looked like the day I got it lol
