I am going to purchase an inboard leaf spring kit, Caltracs, mono leafs, narrow the rear axle, and mini tub the rear wheel tubs. This is for my 1969 Dodge Super Bee.

Anyone done this? Pics? Advice? What is the biggest tire combo with wheel width and back spacing?

Thanks

Back spacing will depend on axle width. You can easily get a tire section width of 14-15 inches I belive. I think about 30 is max diameter with out cutting the front wheel opening. Correct me anyone if I'm off here.

My brother has run 325 - 50-15 Mickey Thomson ET Streets on 10" wide wheels with 5.5" backspace with just a tiny bit of dead blow hammer work with stock width axle and stock springs location. (1970 Road Runner). It will rub a little with 250 pounds of gear in the trunk (when he is doing Drag Week). Right now he is running 295 60 15 MT ET Streets and they are great. (The RR makes 500 RWHP). We've done a mini tub and spring relocation on his '67 Bel, but I cannot remember the width of the opening (I'll measure it this weekend). We have 315-60-15 MT ET Streets on it 10" wide wheel (I cannot remember the back spacing) with a narrowed Dana (588 Hemi 1054 HP street car). You can put a lot of power down with these tires.

We're just over at Fort Wayne, IN, so you guys could come over and take a look. (RR is in storage, Bel is at home).

It will look like this...with an A body dana 60....wheels are 10 inch with 4 inch back space, small radials..

My dad's bee is mini tubbed, if you'd like I can get some good pics and measurements for you next time I'm down for a visit.

I have a mini tub, relocated springs & Cal trac on my Challenger ( I know E Body though). Can fit a 315/60 D.R. or a 29.5x10.5W on 12" wide wheels no problem.
