You really won't know how much tire you can use, till you get the mini tubs in, and the springs moved. And you wont know anything about the wheels that will fit, till you decide on a narrowed rearend or stock, and which brakes you are going to use (sometimes discs move the mounting flange for the wheels outward, compared to drums).

That's what my original plan was to do, run all TTI , headers to tail pipe. When I was looking up part numbers TTI's foot notes (57) says won't fit relocated springs. I did see that you mentioned you had to slightly modify the stock tank, is this what they were talking about or were there other issues with the install?. To be clear you have the springs located directly under the frame rails and not an off set shackle correct?. Thanks
If you can do the minitub and spring relocation, a little modification to tail pipes and gas tank shouldnt be too much trouble. Or, you could always throw a fuel cell in the trunk like i did.
I'm just glad to hear someone say it can be done with some minor trimming ( I hope that's what he's saying). I didn't want to buy pre bent pipes that i couldn't use at all.
I looked at mine, and with 3 inch pipes, it doesn't seem to have enough room. Did you modify the tank, and if so, what did you do?
I don't have my stock tank installed at the moment, does it look to you like 3" round to 3" oval would work?, not that i really want to do that ( kills the idea of buying off the self from TTI ) but it may be a problem solver. I'll have to find a cross section measurement of 3" oval to see how wide it is. EDIT ,looks like 2.2" x 3.45" according to Summit.
Thank you very much for the detailed install, i'm going to give the TTi over the rear exhaust a try. If it's not too much trouble could you post a picture of the x pipe area?. I'm going to be running a Gear Venders unit and TTI says that will be a problem for their x and h pipes, hoping i can modify to make fit. They don't seem to have any install pictures on there website.
Wow, clean looking build, looks great. I figured i would have to make something up just wasn't sure. Thank you for the pics ,that helps a lot. I agree, an h-pipe after the G.V.'s unit would probably be the most logical way to go, fabricating the h-pipe mid section shouldn't be that bad if I can tie that into TTI's over the rear section. BTW, did you make the drive shaft loop or do you know where i can get one of those ?, looks to be another problem solver and way nicer than the one that i got with my car as a roller. Who's muffler/ resonator did you use?.
I am building a 64 Polara and and I'm getting ready to order a customer Dana 60 housing. I really like the results of your build and would appreciate any input you have on the relocate kit and housing dimensions. Im trying to sort out the spring perch width and the housing width before I order
I did the exact same thing for my car. Except I started with the wheels and made the car fit them.
Great thanks for the response. I was working with Cass already but I hesitated on ordering my Dana just long enough that I decided to do the relocate. lol I guess waiting was expensive. But better now than later.
