I'm building a crate to send my Dash and Steering Column to Instrument-Specialties. My question for those who have sent their dash to Instrument-Specialties, do you have any drawings of what you built? Did you attach it to a pallet?

Regarding the actual dash, did you remove the VIN plate first? If you did, how did you replace the rivets? Do they remove the VIN plate and reattach? I don't know if I like the idea of my VIN plate leaving my garage, but I also don't want it to look like it's been swapped out (by me or them).

Lastly, did you laser etch or stamp somewhere inside the dash so you know the one you get back is your dash?

Thanks in advance for any information as I want to fully understand the process from someone who's experienced it. And yes, I can be a bit paranoid/non-trusting :)

Talk to Tom up there. He’ll take care of you. They can redo the vin plate. They’re a trustworthy, honest bunch. You’ll get your exact parts back everytime unless something is completely trash and they have to replace it with another in which they would call you and let you know that
